The engine is everything. It sells this car for me. An i6 3 litre diesel at this price these days is unheard of. People don't realize just how nice a 6 cylinder diesel is. I LOVE IT! I love the sound of it. It sounds strong and purposeful but refined. An X3 or GLC costs R200k more and they only have a 2 litre 4 cyl diesel. They sound like trucks. The Mazda has a blub blub sound which to me sounds amazing. It's the best sounding diesel for me.

True, that Inline 6 diesel sounds amazing, when I test drove it recently I even asked to stand outside it and listen to its idle...you would swear it's an X5 xDrive30d if you were blindfolded. And it moves as well....what's there not to like here, Mazda brought out something special

The value of this i6 diesel can't be understated. The GLC and X3 will be about R400k more specced to this level and that's 4 cyl diesels. I also love the Chinese vehicles but this engine alone would make me buy this car over those. Imagine an Omoda C9 or Chery Tiggo 8 had a 3.3 i6 diesel from Mazda at the same prices... it would be game over for everyone else.

New X3/GLC are way too expensive though International 2.5L e-skyactiv is doing 0 -100 in 6+ seconds maybe the battery helps the engine out or different tuning 🤷🏾‍♂️ Anyway Mazda SA should have also tried that for the local market The 3.3L D is getting the job done though Lovely review once again, danko🎉
