Really enjoyed this video, but I have a tiny accessibility critique, which I realized after my deaf mom walked in the room and watched a little. I really appreciate the subtitles, I know they’re a lot of work. But because you can’t see the mouths of two of the speakers, it’s really difficult to tell who is talking at any certain point. I think this could easily be solved by just changing the background color of the subtitle highlight to reflect each speaker. That, at least, would indicate the speaker has changed. Great video and I love y’all’s work! Keep it up!

The thing about the tiny Texas lady with the huge truck is that she wants you to be upset about it. People who are tacky LOVE upsetting rational people with their excess. They wear ignorance like a badge and then try to defend themselves by saying you’re misogynistic to them when you mansplain something they’re aware of. It reinforces their pride and ignorance.
@ajohnymous5699Ай бұрын
So I've met some of these tiny women as a Texas native. While there is a lot of people who treat ignorance, arrogance and obnoxious excess like badges of honor, the most sensible thing I've heard in regards to the truck thing was "improves chances of survival for the girl driving." Partly because the vehicle is big and therefore sturdy, presumably, but also because they're higher up. Which, when I heard, made me realize we don't value our young men then because they drive small cars usually or when they do have big trucks, only gawdy people want to fuck the guy who has a big truck and no need for it. Thankfully, the younger generations treat them like the jokes they are.
@mookinbabysealfurmittensАй бұрын
They (tacky big truck people) pick & choose from wherever they feel like, somehow "traditional family" & other regressive junk _and_ bristling against "misogyny" (and it usually takes them to a "G.C." place of transmisia). That's what happens when you only gleam a very surface level reading of things. Especially when surrounded by people who all drank the regressive Kool-Aid, cos mental gymnastics are necessary for the contradictory mindsets they often hold.

You know, because they protect freedom. Whose? We dont know, hopefully ours, but the bougie business boys like them which means they must be ok." Like these same people don't want to have trans people on lists or people's arsenals documented and regulated because the government will harass them or target them, yet completely forget the CIA are the ones who will do the tyranny.
