Braids, mainly cornrows, will grow you hair faster than it naturally does. Just make sure to leave em in at least 2-3 weeks and wash it with just water and apply leave in conditioner after. Lastly don’t forget to always sleep with a satin Durag or bonnet
@LividLeon5 ай бұрын
Cornrows cause tension on the scalp which can increase hair loss and decrease circulation. You have to alternate cornrows styles. The best thing is two strand twist.
@DM-lj2mn5 ай бұрын
You need to shampoo your hair its a reason you do it first before using conditioner. Basic science, just using water isn't going to remove oils and dirt from the pores. You need those pores clear before you use conditioner.

Correct, because you manipulate it less so you retain more length. Gotta add that the cornrows can't be too tight; just snug enough.

Everyone doesn’t have the same scalp…. Sometimes hair doesn’t grow the way it should because of either a fungus that you can’t not see or vitamin deficiency. You have to wash your hair period you can also just use apple cider vinegar because it makes the scalp healthy. You need a healthy scalp in order for hair growth. Your hair regiment isn’t going to work for everyone.

@Laura-sg6ss7 ай бұрын
@Terel1 nooo!! Don't do that! It's not the worst thing but long term it's not great BECAUSE your scalp doesn't need as much moisture as the rest of your hair. Moisture through water is important ofc for the scalp but just trust me, you don't wanna block your follicles or nothing like that. Also sebum production will be chilling on your scalp unless you're having problems with that so your scalp will be fine! Just apply to the shaft of the hair - the middle and particularly the ends because its the oldest part.

Naw the secret is to drink plenty of water, make sure your not vitamin deficient esp with iron snd zink, plenty of green veg., make sure you have a healthy scalp if not see a dermatologist, use a wide tooth comb and have moisture and slip when detangling, deep condition and steam treatments, most importantly is low manipulation, combing with a widetooth comb and having slip so your not breaking your hair off and most importantly getting regular trims, ppl dont get trims so their split ends split to the root and causes breakage which then leaves no room for length retention. We all can grow hair unless you have a disease or condition. Yes genetics plays a factor in hair bonds, thickness and how fast, but the key to length is moisture, detangling carefully and trims, the key to growth is water, what you you put in your body and low manipulation.

Indian clay mask!! Good for both the face and hair as it clears up clogged pores (hair &face) for people who have acne and completely strips off any gunk inside the braids/hair. It’ll clean ALOT more gunk from the face and hair when you add pure apple cider vinegar (WITH the mother inside) A lot some protein deep conditioner treatments too to keep the curls a’ curling . … Not too much though… Tea rinses are basically water but with tea! The best and easier way to cleanse the hair while add nutrients on the strands… massage thoroughly and treat tea rinses like a water spray.. tea dries up your hair strands though so unlike water spray… don’t spray it on your hair too much… Also also, don’t be afraid to add in new oils in your hair/body butter. It’ll add more nutrients in your hair instead of what’s already in the original body butter.

It keeps it’s nice and neat but is there another method I can use? I get retwist ever two months. I wash every three weeks and deep condition too.

Embrace shampoo, shrinkage and learning how to braid and twist your own hair. If you use dandruff shampoo once a week, it will go away. That's the gold standard for healthy scalp and hair.
