I have the perfect summary of the Indian haircare routine. One word: OIL

my Latino mom would always drench my hair with aloe vera as a pre hair wash mask and my hair would come out silky smooth everyday 🥰 Oh also Garnier is pronounced as Gar-nee-ey instead of Gar-nee-er

That sounds amazing!! I might have to give that a try ☺️ and thanks haha I’ve always been curious about that 🤣

You have such beautiful hair!!! Thanks for helpful tutorial. I have dark blond hair. No dyes. Do you think this works for light, curly hair too? PS I also am gluten intolerant & have dry skin. I use shea butter for my skin. It’s wonderful. Best wishes to you!!!

I like that you said upfront at the beginning of the video what your channel is about. That’s what made me subscribe because I saw that you talk about many things I am interested vs just a random hair care video I needed to find for knowledge. Also, you should reach out to vanicream and tell them you want affiliate links

Nice video. I'm hoping to learn more hair care for my nieces, my family is European but one of my nieces is half Indian and her hair gets so tangled and rough...it's beautiful and long so I'd love to help her tame it and not hurt when trying to brush it out. But my sister is pretty strict on using organic and container free or not made in China stuff so the coconut oil might work but I still have to find an after shower detangler/smoothener (Sorry just kinda thoughts haha)
@GlutenCurious2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I think soaking her hair in coconut oil for a few hours and then gently detangling it with a brush before showing might really help!

Great video, I'm going to try this! But I have a question, how do you get the coconut oil out of the ends/non-scalp part of your hair if you only use shampoo on your scalp? Doesn't it still stay oily? I always end up having to shampoo my ends as well if I use oil, does the conditioner play a role in getting the oil out? Thanks!
@GlutenCurious2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! The conditioner typically does the job (and the shampoo as it runs down my hair). You kind of want some of the residual oils to be in your hair to keep it hydrated. Hope that helps!

Why wash yr hair every day ? It maintains the oil better and u use less if u oil it once a week and leave it in then rinse in warm water and maybe a bit of conditioner. No shampoo needed.
