I watched a couple of your older videos today ("keeping out criminals and cockroaches" and one about keeping out noise) and it's interesting to see how much more personality and droll humor you have in the current ones. Also -- watching the seasons change via your footwear coming down the stairs. Thanks for doing these -- I'll most likely never rent a NYC apartment but it's fun to watch and I enjoy every one.

Often times they squeeze new buildings between existing ones to maximize the profit. That's also why there are less and less green spaces and adds to the issue of parking. Works well money-wise, but gives a terrible feeling of living in a shoe box. This one was okay, but there are many much more narrow.

Whew! Glad the fall wasn't worse, Cash.---Sounds odd but years ago Smithsonian magazine had an article about staircases which made me aware of what's safe and what isn't. The staircase here may look good to some people but I see a safety hazard. Good thing it has a metal railing. Getting furniture to the second room could be a problem.---Kitchen looks good but is impractical with cabinets far too high. With dishes etc. on the shelf it will look like a garage sale and items there will have to be cleaned periodically. Second bedroom needs cleaning or painting because you can see where the bed had been against the wall. Bathroom drawer makes me wonder what else may have been damaged or worked too hard. Some concerns and drawbacks but still a good place for the right people.

Nice video and they did a good job on the renovation. Williamsburg not for me though. NYC doesn't allow trucks on most highway so the only truck rout is through that area. Even 5am they are out there in traffic. Looks like your right next to the 278 interstate. Was only $800 to rent a whole apartment there before everything was renovated. Crazy over $1400 per bedroom now... Only way to get way south Brooklyn is the B44 bus and can take forever. Otherwise need to get L train to 14 street then take 2/5 back to Brooklyn. Can get to most places Brooklyn to Manhattan faster than Williamsburg to the rest of Brooklyn. eek! Over an hour subway if you wanted to meet someone near bay ridge for Italian food. 30 mins on slow G train to get to Prospect park, 40 mins to crown heights (only a few miles away). Best in Brooklyn to be off the B/Q or 2/5 trains which go fast within most of Brooklyn. Most people live there take a lot of ubers.. or just goto Manhattan for fun. In that case just live in Manhattan.

Oh you know me…I love a 2 level apartment! I would definitely put a two person bench against the stairs if I was sharing but… if I took that myself I would put a 4 person table in the corner by the staircase and a bench over by the window to extend the kitchen surface just a little. A slim console table right by the door and stairs for keys and post. *Then* I could have the downstairs bedroom as a living room lined with bookshelves on the back wall around the door and fill it with plants and a comfy couch and my tv. So upstairs would be my bedroom (with more books & plants) as it’s just so bright and airy! I love this apartment so much!

The rooftop access n balconies r suppose to distract u from the fact tht every single room in that "penthouse" is small even if you're splitting the rent there's hardly any room in that living room you're practically sleeping on that balcony once u put a bed an dresser in there an the least they could do is put a WD or else you'd be lugging all your laundry up n down a no elevator building which is more of just a top floor than a PH mind u you're right by the expressway I swear u ppl think anything in Brooklyn is great

Great to have the outdoor space with a choice of having both a balcony and a roofdesk. I'm just not as enamored of Brooklyn. Bonus having a washer/dryer in the unit! Reachable storage in the kitchen is an issue for someone (ahem) vertically challenged. Kitchen is also tiny and the living room is a tad small. Like that the upstairs space could be set up as an office with a view. Bathroom is okay. I'd give it a grade of a B-,

Hey Cash, have you ever fallen down those stairs, going down so fast? 😂😂😂

That’s a cute apt . Good for a couple because the bedroom downstairs would be the living room for me. The stove is electric { oh no} . I wouldn’t die cool area of Brooklyn as well.

Definitely needs a paint job and cleaning. If you didn't have roommates, the room on the first floor could be a living room instead of a bedroom. Great job, Cash! Be careful out there.

First of all, I hope that you are okay and not over sore after your fall. It is always worse the next day. As to tis apt it looks decent. Just wondering about the highway traffic noise.

I would make the top floor bedroom into a living room the one with the larger balcony. One reason for doing this is the stairs. I will probably end up killing myself trying to go down the stairs in a morning or just after I have woken up. The original living room I would make it into a office and dinning room. The reason for this I am working more from home these days. I don't know about you but when you are working you can never be too close to the coffee pot.

I agree with you on making the top floor with the large deck a living room. Otherwise, if you have guests over and want to hang out on deck they would have to go through your bedroom. Makes more sense the way you suggest.
