It’s been lovely to get away for a few days. The waves in Nazare are too big for most surfers I think 😅 they’ve had world records set here for big wave surfing.

Lol, suddenly very Anglo-Saxon at the end! It made me laugh. I knew nothing about 'bouldering' until 2012 Olympics when one of the Brownlee brothers introduced Shauna Coxey. What immense strength in a tiny frame!

It’s such a beautiful city. The cats are from our neighbours Quinta, they have lots and leave them to breed and fend for themselves. Not ideal really, they’ve been up a few times now but not technically a part of the family yet, I might try and sneakily neuter them though as they’ll cause chaos in a year or two.

I think it was €150 for two nights? Have a look on airbnb, it should be fairly easy to find being so close to the water, it’s on the north coast of the Douro river.

Beware walking on that beach, be extra careful, from time to time some big wave can easily grab you very fast.

I know! That’s what happened to us at the end! We’ve been on Praia do Norte 4 or 5 times now and that’s the first time it’s happened, we were nearly 50metres away from the coast 😅

They’re not allowed in most shops and restaurants. We aim for places that are either dog friendly, or have outside seating.
