Bri Zenith please provide biblical evidence that Dr. John Piper is a false prophet. It’s easy to make a claim without providing any substantiating evidence. Stop being a lazy and belligerent “Christian” and do some leg work to prove (if you even can) that Piper is a false teacher. @@spanishbutterfly8546 Quite the opposite. John Piper is among the most Biblical teachers today. He does not shy away from teaching the full counsel of God on the Bibles authority and terms. He exhorts the listeners and readers not to trust him but to look into the Bible and see if it is true.

Meaning living a holy life and being more and more holy as you walk with the Lord? 2.) Is he making encounters with you? Directing words to you and your situations through his word the Bible? 3.) Can you hear his voice? Does he talk to you when you are sleeping and you wake up with answers or a message or tell you what you need to do that day when you get up? You can be saved and be a baby Christian and die a baby Christian but I tell you what the scripture says Matthew 7:23 “I never knew you!” These are to ppl that never read the Bible, follow it and know him personally. So you can call yourself a Christian but you aren’t one if you can’t say whatever he says and do whatever he does. If you are asking me, a stranger then you have a lot of work to do. The Bible has tons of things we are to do daily. One is read, pray and study DAY AND NIGHT. Praying without ceasing. If you aren’t doing what the word says he can and may deny you It’s a lot of trails and tests to get where I am… you have to pass them all first and be consistent before he tells you the secrets. My point is if you’re in you are in… you can’t be blind or miss him or looking for him and all this nonsense. He IS omnipresent. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Be blessed.

This came on time. When I start to spiral out of control, I always ask myself, "what reality are you believing?". That helps me see clearly and reinforce the Bible. When it is clear, I remind myself where I want to be at the end of all this. I want to be near Jesus and his pure love. That reminds me that I have to endure short time pain for my eternity of purity/happiness with my Lord ❤❤❤.

What I will say is that I have seen his dedication and love for Jesus in the writing of his books, the creation of DesiringGod.org and his sermons. John is not perfect, but I see him pursuing the One who is perfect. John Piper has made a huge impact in my life on how I can treasure Jesus Christ as being all satisfying and that's why I am so thankful for his ministry.

John piper has such an amazing understanding of the word of God. He is a realist and one of the most faithful men of God I have had the pleasure of listening to. Without his teachings my life and faith would be a lot poorer. As he says there are so many people that call themselves theists yet do not know God. Bless you John Piper- May God continue to keep you hear with us & not take you to glory yet. As Paul says “ he would rather be with Christ but it is better for us that he stays” you are extremely important Doctor Piper. “Set your mind on... Christ” looks to me like a jewel finely, perfectly, securely set in the immovable hand of God. None can snatch the jewel out of the hand of the father. No theif, no liar, no murderer. “A gift is like a precious jewel to him that has it... wherever it turns, it prospers” the ULTIMATE security of your life with Christ, and the beauty of it like a diamond with a million faces. Also, this truth, the jewel of eternal life with Christ, is “held” by these 5 points, the 5 fingers on the hand of God, out of which NO ONE can take away. In other words, Rejoice Proverbs 17:8 and John 10:28

I do not find the word "reality" or "realities" anywhere in my KJV Bible. Yet, I hear this man using it repeatedly. No one ever taught me, in the nearly fifty years I've been a Christian, about seeking realities or realizing realities. In the earliest days, I heard from those who were very much into Christian positioning, claiming they were already, as in Piper's terminology, in reality, sitting in the heavenlies, completed in Christ, and had merely to live a life that asserted their spiritual position when the enemy showed up to steal, kill and destroy, or when a bill was overdue, or someone was ill. Our positioning, I was told, gave me power because I am not of this world "in reality", yet, in truth, I am still here, and while here, I SEEK, not presently EXIST, in that city whose builder and maker is God. Through God's threefold makeup of salvation -- justification, sanctification and glorification, I grow up in Him slowly, in part -- line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. I have not yet arrived. God is with me today, surely, but I merely know in part, not entirely. I acquire sanctification patiently through time as I run the race, mortify the deeds of the flesh, put on Christ, lay aside every weight, etc., not in one sudden moment of realizing my positioning.

Hi, Reverent Piper. I have not listened tho you're a Baptist, and that is very admirable, but you're saying by the faith and that alone we are saved, this also gives me courage because I am an LDS, and yet I don't have to be baptized in that I can have faith and that faith alone with is what the Melchizedek of Salem taught 4000 years ago is sufficient even tho the Church bodies of LDS and your faith may require that to be a member of there sect. It is nice to be a member but the organizations of the world do not recognize that salvation is from God, and from the Savior and that alone is enough to realize our God potential through loving service in this life if we really want to serve, like Rabie Muller that passed away in England who of course would rather be called Rev. Muller that you spoke so highly of orphanages and centers for merciful ministries to all. But the real question is not to become like Mother Teresa!. Sorry to be so bad on Catholics, but that is LDS for you.

In reference to Luke 14:25-27, the call to hate here is not a literal hate but a call to love Jesus more than we love our family I.e. we don't compromise the truth of the gospel to please them. However, Christ also says in vs. 27 that we must take up our cross. Jesus also says in John 12:25 that we must lose our life to gain it. Some versions say hate. Putting it all together, we must not be beholden to this life - it's a mirage. Real life is in heaven with Jesus. This is one of the realities we have in Jesus as believers that Pastor John covered in this sermon.

@@amyashleman106 so if Paul says Roman’s 1:16 that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation then the gospel is what saves. So Paul says this 1 Corinthians 1: 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void. The Wisdom of God So Paul here clearly splits up the gospel and Baptisim. Remember the gospel is what saves and Paul did not come to baptize but to preach the gospel. By Paul’s standards Baptisim is not apart of the gospel.

Well, I would hope not because the glory, our ability to believe, power is Christ's alone. He is that ultimate supremacy of the created and divine. We are only blessed with life above through Jesus. The mysteries of God are revealed through Christ. In other words, we have nothing to hold up as a contribution so that keeps our perspective of ourselves clear. However, if God knew His child may be given to boasting, He is more than able like He did for apostle Paul to keep us from falling. So now we can freely seek these beautiful realities that are revealed in His precious Word.

John? Here’s my problem. I’m getting up in age and feeling quite feeble. My wife, on the other hand, is going full-bore. I have always driven old cars. Cars that break down with unfortunate (but understandable) frequency. I always either fix them myself, or take them in. Question: if I were to buy my wife a new car on the assumption that she will outlive me just how much of a sin would that be? I don’t want her to have to worry about break-downs, you know? I know you have said that buying a new car is a sin, yet how am I to go to my grave in peace thinking about my wife being stranded somewhere? You also say that sin will keep us from heaven (that free grace only gets “God on our side” but from then on out it is a matter of works). So if I were to buy the cheapest new car I could find, would that exclude me from Heavenly glory? Or should I keep my old car (which is currently broken down) on the hope that in doing so God will allow me admittance to His Kingdom? In addition, I own a 900 sq ft house that I fear is a nod to the American dream (even though I’m next door to a bunch of Nicaraguan migrants). How will this figure into my prospects come judgement day? Also, will God hold it against me if I have a nice family if I do NOT collect seashells?
