I remember back in the days when they first launched Hunt and the couple of years following through 2018,2019,2020 and so on I exposed obvious cheaters and deliberate cheaters and showed clips and profiles in the official Hunt Discord. The mods were not happy about having people exposed red handed what they were doing and even asked Crytek and Hunt devs themselves about the websites selling cheats and why they were still open and running and not shutdown or working on a lawsuit. All I got in return was me fighting off cheaters being a bad whiner and ended up getting permanently banned from their discord and communities for exposing their love bunnies and kittens they love so much. Crytek and Hunt Showdown love cheaters more than their own Good Samaritans working the good man’s work. Fed up of the way devs and even some players try to gaslight people who point out that China = exceedingly high rate of cheating. PUBG did it, Tarkov sort of did it, Heck even Crytek kind of does too. I get that China means a ton of cash for your game, but your'e selling your soul when you try and dismiss the now well bloody documented problem as 'racism'. If 25% of you are cheating, GTFO of servers where that isn't the norm. That is a game killing level of cheating. Because newsflash, cheaters don't care about ping because they're fucking cheating. China should be across the board banned from ever playing the same servers as the rest of us, just as the world banned Russia from the Olympics over their cheating. Every single vaguely competitive game should be on board with this, and the only reason they aren't must be money, because there is no other reason I can even fathom that would justify it otherwise.

Did you read the stats at all? Cheating is a problem, sure, but cheating will ALWAYS exist. It's an arms race, and the nature of it will always have game devs behind trying to catch up. On EU servers it 1 cheater in 70+ games? At 15 minutes a game maybe average you're looking at 1 cheater every nearly 18 HOURS of gameplay? For US west it was much higher at 4.5%, but still only 1 cheater every 6 or so hours of gameplay, and US east it was lowest at 1 cheater in 145 games or a cheater every 36 HOURS. If you play on Asian servers that sucks, I'm sorry, but anywhere else and the cheating problem isn't nearly as bad as people are making it out to be and these stats prove it.
@theforgeryttv64496 ай бұрын
@@the0new0revolution It's going to get worse as Crytek provides ways to encourage cheaters to stay. All you need to do is get a profile with foreign letters so the game can't understand it (rectangles as letters in-game) and hide your stats, you're essentially anonymous. You won't ever know who they are. Or worse, they can impersonate someone else so they can get falsely reported while still hiding their stats and any way to visit their profile directly. lol quit your bs I encounter cheaters a lot in US East too. People are also de-rendering assets in the game intentionally to shoot through bushes/fences. That is considered cheating too but Crytek always wants to cry "m-m-muh engine limitations!". Tbf though you probably stuck in 2-3 * lobbies so you encounter them less there.

In US East, people doesn't prefer the direct aim bots that prevalence in ASIA server. They use all sorts of "techniques" like reshade, radar, deceive the game that you are playing through xbox (so that aim assists for controllers are available) so that they can claim "I am not cheating, you are just bad". And oh yes, some of they will leave a Chinese city on their main and leave a brunch of Chinese characters from google translators in their profile even though connecting from Asia is over the ping limits. Hypocrite is the best word for them :)

I don't remember seeing a single complaint about the Huntstats website on any of the major social platforms, not on the reddit, the discord or the steam forums... Hunt is just unplayable now. The saturation of events mixed with constant cheaters is frustrating and draining. Crytek does nothing for it's community except pump out skins for money. They never cared about the community even when they are called out on live streams.
@troll52627 ай бұрын
It all started to go downhill whenever they hired the new monetization guy a couple of years ago. Less and less fixes, more and more focus on sheer profits(BB changes, skin cost increases for new stuff, leaning hard into weekly an daily things to build retention etc). It's barely a cash cow right now to feed Crysis 4 or whatever other projects they got going on. Hunt is insanely profitable(regularly in the top 10 on Steam and has been for years) and was even before all this. But now? Why should they care? All they do is push skins, events and cater to streamers.

What frustrates me is, that crytek banned my friend after his account got hacked and then hacked in Hunt. We had the steam support confirming this via official documentation, my friend got proof via actions for restoration of the account, IP logs for behaviour analysis etc. Steam actually said "our word should suffice for the game manager to undo the ban" and crytek just said "it was your account, and it was your fault. We won't do anything." Crytek definitely not in for the place of good costumer oriented business behaviour

I've got about 5000 hours in this game and have seen an influx in cheating. I enjoy playing games with inherent disadvantages I force upon myself, and in this game it means going into games with no weapons, or no healing, or with a flashlight on. Fortunately for me, this keeps me in low 5 star lobbies, and sometimes 4 star lobbies when I play with friends. @ki0n9697 ай бұрын
And all these bans were possible due to a single player checking one lobby at a time in one region at a time. Crytek told me in support they have been banning between 400 to 1000 players PER WEEK, its an INSANE number given Hunt players amount. I myself got 50+ banned since I started taking note of their profiles and checking back, many werent banned cause I couldnt get actual proofs due to no one being in the lobby after us. This being said, crytek is definitely behaving like a petty toddler, so unprofessional I wonder how they manage to keep their business running. P.s.: I forgot to add.. ALL OF THOSE BANS dont take into account ppl EXPLOITING THEIR ASS OFF with Custom CFG, NPI, crosshair, sound enhancers, rerendering. That shit cant be proved so crytek doesnt bother banning them. Some of them have youtube profiles advertising that shit and they still run freely.

Thank you for putting in all this work! I might be biased and of course my sample size is limited, but for me it feels like the amount of questionable people I meet in Hunt has increased over the last months. The amount of Asian and Russian players especially increased in that time which doesn't feel like a coincidence, even if it might be. Even if those people from further away are only abusing higher ping values, it still feels bad dying to them, while I can't seem to land any shots. Since I'm rarely spectating longer than a few seconds I didn't catch any blatant cheaters, but today I met a very special case. Solo, Prestige 0, Level 100, hidden profile, name was just blank (so most likely a single space). That player didn't blatantly cheat, but the way he moved, aimed and shot felt really scummy. Either it was someone abusing the MMR system to play against worse players (I'm rotating between 3 and 5) since he was supposedly only a 5 star playing against a lobby full of 3-4 stars or he had wallhack and maybe more stuff. But what can I do about that guy? Without a profile, without a name, without stats? Crytek has to do something about this and giving cheaters an easy way of going completely anonymous while the ingame reports basically do nothing fells absolutely awful.

I think the word just spread among cheating communities that Huuge was spectating cheaters. There was even a situation live where random players started shouting Huuge's name.
@IsraelStorey7 ай бұрын
There was another video recently about a pair of cheaters and in one of the clips they were saying things in VOIP to the people spectating them. I don't think they would have anything to tell them, but they probably saw the spectating player kill themselves at the start of the match so they knew what was going on. It's not normal for someone to kill themselves immediately, so when they see that with their ESP then they might know what's up.

Important video and important work! I absolutely support that! There should be an easy way for the whole community to team up against cheating, high-ping-abuse, MMR-tweaking, Smurf-Accounts etc. so that Crytek will finally listen and do something about it. First step: Reduce ping limit from 250 ms. Second step: Change hit registration system, so that high ping players are not longer rewarded. Let's hope that some changes will come along with the engine update. Keep up the good work, man.
@ThaGeneralC6 ай бұрын
I understand where you are coming from with the ping issue but you are also forgetting that a lot of people play this game from all over the world, two of my friends are from South Africa all the servers are high ping for them. they play on the EU server and that's the lowest ping for them and its still quite high. its not fair to punish people that have no choice but to play through the high ping when hunt is there favourite game. Thats a crytek issue because they will not expand the servers to countries like SA
@sergejfaerlich47586 ай бұрын
@@ThaGeneralC As you say, people being forced to play in foreign regions going hand in hand with high ping issues for everyone, is an issue that Crytek has to solve. High ping abuse and hit registration problems are also related to each other. The current hit registration system favors people with high ping whereas every other serious FPS doesn't work like this. This encourages people with high ping to use this advantage. In addition to this a serious amount of cheaters in some regions (e.g. Asia) maybe the cause of some regular players playing in foreign regions (e.g. EU) with a serious high ping as well.

Same with the events, they release half ass tested pacts, community finds a way to a use them, Crytek cries that they can't do that even though it only occurred because of their own incompetence/oversight. It's just becoming exhausting being part of this community

Very suspicious they've never posted data on the subject eg banned player numbers. I've heard the "I've played 5k hrs and seen no cheaters" comment as well. Well I've over 4k hours and seen loads, so it didn't add up and smacks of delusion from the person saying this. Interesting to see Crytek are actively making it harder to catch cheaters (blocking that file you mention) and essentially protecting them. That's quite shocking as a player to see and massively undermines any chat they give suggesting they care or are concerned and doing something about the problem. I got a temp ban on the Hunt Discord for calling it out once, I remeber being surprised how vehemently they defended the cheaters/denied there being an issue.
