My dad passed away on May 7th, 2021 after a 4 year battle with cancer. He was 52. He was one of my best friends. I don't think it's really hit me yet.. I remember learning this on guitar and showing him and he was proud of me. This is the first time I've listened to this song since and it has such a bittersweet feeling now, it's hard to get through it.. I love you dad, I hope I'm still making you proud up there🖤

This was my best friend's favorite band. He passed away at 26 in an auto accident. We put together a charity golf tournament in his name and raffled things off. I reached out to Seether's management and figured I would try a homerun swing. They returned with every CD they ever put out signed individually and put into one huge display case to send us to raffle off. With the gift was a hand written note from their manager expressing their sympathy and the entire way through were class-acts. Musicians are fun to put on pedestals for their musical ability - these guys and management need to be put on a pedestal for something much more than that. THANK YOU GUYS for something that meant much more than a gift - confirmation that my friend was cared about by his favorite band meant the world. Thank you a million times over.

I’m a nurse, for all over the pandemic of COVID I have been “a soldier in the frontline” people use to said that about us. After 2 years on the frontline I can say I am not the same person I use to be before the pandemic. Time have been so freaking hard for me in present day, I’ve watched a lot o people died, kids, young’s, adults and ancients, people died in my arms while we were doing CPR, or intubating them. It’s hard to presence the last moments o a human being watching him scared, confused, alone and sick. For all the thing’s I did and I watched I have now anxiety and depression with PTSD. When I’m about to sleep (if I can) sometimes I can hear and see the faces of the people who died. Then I got sick of COVID and my anxiety increased. I truly understand those who lost their family or friends because of COVID. I hope I can gel soon, greetings from Tijuana, México. I love this band and I love this song, it makes me remember every day not to give up, it means a lot for me.

First of all, thank you for your service during this crucial times of covid, before and after. I can't even imagine what you are going through and having to face all of that death going on around you and in your face! I look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can put this Dreadful pandemic behind us once and for all. Too many innocent lives being snuffed out, where do they be young or old! I pray that you can somehow find peace within you as you continue to deal with this going on in your life for far too long, and be able to work through your depression and PTSD somehow so that you can get a restful night of sleep again without images of those dying around you. I too suffer with depression and anxiety, but I know that your condition is far worse than mine. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Why is this music not mainstream anymore? Genuine question. Like we went from music like this to the BS we have now. I really wish music like this would come back into the mainstream. I’m not being nostalgic either, just facts.
@colemoxie42094 жыл бұрын
Nick Whitson I used to be a heavy rap person, only listened to rap and that’s it. Two weeks ago I accidentally turned on the wrong channel and this song was on. And my god I was amazed what actual music sounds like. People like me were just brain washed to think rap is the only genre in the world. If the world heard any music like this it would go mainstream instantly, it’s just time will tell when that will happen
@johngo37624 жыл бұрын
Cole Moxie it just show that a real music lover has no genras. I love every kind of music as long as i like the beat, the lyrics, the feeling etc. It depends on my mood, if im riding a bus i listen Collide, Gin Blossoms songs, Lifehouse. When im going to a beach i listen party songs.
@sawyer_Benton4 жыл бұрын
@@colemoxie4209 I went through a very similar experience with rap, then I went a small one with electronic music. Especially when attending festivals and shows that exhibit a lot of beads and drug induced euphoria leading to a lot of talk about love and bright emotions. I feel as though both groups walk around brain washing themselves with this exterior feeling one being scary hard or better than everyone and the others being either in the hottest party place, in the most loving or wonderful connectedness with everyone. This music is kinda of city boy/girl blues and puts out a "oh i'm so sad and go through so much vibe". I felt as though people didn't want to sit and feel so much of an open emotion like how sad a lot grunge and alternative rock songs are. This day and age people just want to feel like they are the best having the time of their lives and that's a real difference between this period of pop music and the current one. People make fun of sad and slow music a lot now.

Been living this song for 11 year's now and life just keeps throwing obstacle after obstacle at me. Theirs no peace and relief for wicked. All you can do is march on and overcome. Even if you feel completely hopeless inside. Can't just give up got to keep on clawing. Life sucks but it's all we got.

Look up and make yourself feel empowered and get up off that down dark place! It isn't easy trust me! Yet you can do it one day at a time. Grant yourself time to think it is allowed.
