Michael's comedy is very physical and on-the-fly, and it can be really hard to maintain the special spontaneity/magic of improv when they keep redoing the takes. Furthermore, the physical aspect of his comedy can get very exhausting when the retakes start piling up. Imagine smacking your head against the same door 10 times because your co-stars kept giggling and breaking their characters. According to his interview, his 4x4 remark to Julia in the detective/pipe scene was actually genuine frustration.

ziad bassaj I believe this the episode they couldn’t find the car in the parking garage.... the car was supposed to start, it not starting was purely coincidence and Michael Richards made it funnier by getting out and looking around. I believe this scene made the cut cause it was so funny The magic of improv

1:30 I can feel Michael Richards’ frustration. The best of what he does is improvised, but the more spontaneously funny he is, the more likely the others will giggle and ruin the shot.

People are always critical of him in bloopers videos but I can’t imagine how difficult it was to play Kramer and stay in that mindset. I imagine he needed to just get through the episodes sometimes and obviously the level of comedy happening made it difficult for that to happen.

I could watch Seinfeld outtakes all day long, over and over, and never get tired of watching them. The writers for this show are geniuses! Not only did the 4 main characters click beautifully together, but the supporting actors on the show throughout the years were phenomenal! Sadly, they don't make comedy shows like this anymore, and there's been nothing remotely close to this type of comedy for years on TV.

Well they didn't hate her, they just hated doing scenes with her. Jason said something about her delivery totally killed his timing and it was impossible for him to do a scene with her. No one believed him until they all had to do scenes together, then they realized that she killed their delivery too, so they killed her off at the end of season 7.
