The way Seinfeld indulges his eccentric friends is epic. Doesn't judge them, sees them as they are. That's how he gets the material for his stand-up gig and manages to stay sane. Quality worth emulating.

Yes there is potentially : Seinfeld Uncut. They say that at least half of the comic material had to be cut down to achieve the duration of the episodes. I am not sure it was ever shooted though, maybe it is just on paper. But it is there somewhere.

Unlikely to be an ad-lib, since the entire joke rests on that punch line.
@Cryptofearia
@Cryptofearia 6 жыл бұрын
A lot of ad libs come in a scene like this where the joke rests on punchline, but the actor is given artistic license to come-up with something funny in the moment. They usually do a lot of takes and pick the best. A lot of things could have been the punchline, "I could still do...(something fairly irrelevant/unimportant)" as the arbitrariness of what he could still do while being severely debilitated is the source of the joke.
@Cryptofearia

@George Lincoln Rockwell Archive Wow. I did not make this comment above. I do not have the capability to analyze a scene of a TV show with such mastery. Thanks for replying to it so I could be alerted to a comment made on my account, but not made by me... Whatever happened, whether it was a friend or a hacker, they were at least very articulate (a good indicator that it wasn't I who wrote it, lol).

I must have seen every Seinfeld episode more than a dozen times and it gets funnier every time. From the double dip to George running out of the house in a burning fire knocking everybody out of the way. Or Jerry dropping his girlfriend's toothbrush into the water. That there's also a show that's incredibly funny too if you get a chance to watch it curb your enthusiasm happens to be one of the funniest shows on TV. I truly recommend it to anybody that's in the mood to laugh like you're watching Seinfeld!!

Ah the 90s, when you had to go to an actual store, browse aisle after aisle to find something to watch. Now people wake up in their underwear, turn on the netflix and they're good to go.

In an earlier episode (either Season 2 or 3), Kramer and Jerry have a conversation about comas and Kramer clearly understands that one can wake up from a coma. Somehow he forgot that several years later.
