These are THIRSY little plants! I got one and it has been doing great. Very low maintenance and so cute. As soon as it sucks up all that water I give it another good soak and wait.

I so love my frosty fern. Feels super nicely weird lol. Love the feel of it too. I love that it can handle low light. Yes I agree, they do look super perky and so droopy when sagging low like yours. They actually look like a different plant when not droopy. They don't grow too tall at all. I love it only grows 8-12 inches tall.

That is such an interesting plant. I will be looking for it around here in Ohio, but may have to order it. My favorite non-succulent plant right now is a Kangaroo Paw Fern. Doesn't look like a fern at all but have clingy "paws" that hug the pot like a rabbit's foot fern.

Are they hard to keep alive? I have a crocodile fern (actually I'm on #4 and #5) that just don't want to stay alive. I struggle with them so much. I have succulents as well, and I love your idea of keeping this plant to avoid overwatering my succs. Are they fussy like typical ferns?
@SucsForYou2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, it's a gorgeous plant but it is sooo needy. Very thirsty, needs humidity, warmth... so yes - very very fussy if you don't get everything just right.

I have a silly question for you. I live in Alberta, Canada (yep! Freezing cold) I absolutely LOVE succulents however which succulents would you suggest for indoors and the majority of my windows face East or West. I’d love suggestions for my east facing windows (living room) but also some for my west facing windows. Can you possibly give me some help ☺️ Thanks so much for your time 😊
@SucsForYou5 жыл бұрын
Hi! For the east facing windows you'll want darker green, non-rosettes like Haworthia and Aloe - plants that don't show etiolation as much as Echeverias. West facing will provide more light so you can try other sucs there :) Low watering will help keep them growing slower and more compact in the absence of sufficient light

i love the look of moss ferns, but they keep dying on me, no idea why! i keep them well moist, even tried a bit of a shield to maintain higher humidity, but within 2-3 weeks they just droop and die off frond by frond. :( any help would be appreciated!
@SucsForYou4 жыл бұрын
Hard to say w/out knowing your location/climate but it's really humid here and I know that's a huge factor.
@Ucceah4 жыл бұрын
i think what did it was the combination of low (heating period) humidity, and me eventually overwatering them, when they wouldnt perk up anymore, causing the roots to rot. i've transplanted what's left of this most recent one into a vase with a drainage layer and a fluffy mix of peat moss and vermiculite, to keep things as humid and airy as possible, and it seems to start recovering.

Kinda wished there was more information about Selaginella Lepidophylla, the resurrecting plant. Kinda wished this plant would resurrect similar to Lepidophylla.
@SucsForYou5 жыл бұрын
This one does get really limp and looks dead when it needs water - perks right up too!
@jf28014 жыл бұрын
Isn't that the rose of jericho aka resurrection plant? They can actually go years without water, if so. They will go dormant and appear dead, like a dried ball. But, pour some water and bam. Instant green. Never saw one grown as an actual houseplant, though. Or get so big. Beautiful! 😍 Edit: sorry, this is not rose of jericho. So ignore the above for this plant. This is a relative of it, but not the same. You'll want the Selaginella Lepidophylla, I think is how it's said.
