This is not called the hawera Hawks haka, this haka is called mangumangu taipo , it originates from the taranaki and whanganui area which to Maori is known as the aotea region , because aotea is the name of the Waka(boat) that the Maori travelled in when they discovered these regions many years ago when the Maori first discovered new Zealand
