Why all the comments comparing her to Ariana? You don’t need to be able to reach the highest notes to be a good singer. Ariana and Selena are two completely different types of singers. Ariana has a very strong, powerful voice which makes it easier for her to perform. Selena however, has a very soft voice and finds it difficult to sing powerfully. Even though the examples in this video aren’t the best, it doesn’t mean she can’t sing. If you go watch her acoustic version of ‘who says’ her voice sounds really beautiful. Also don’t forget that Selena has anxiety and lupus which can affect her singing on stage. Edit: I’d completely forgotten about this comment until today and I was reading thru the replies and some of y’all are so mean :( I never said selena was the best singer, but she has some really beautiful performances. Anitazxx the thing is singing live is being able to sing. if you can't sing without auto tune, can you really sing? i think she has a nice voice, she just doesn't show much difficulty... she's rated as a D singer because she doesn't use vibrato, and she doesn't last very long live. She also sounds like she's talking sometimes. I think she's a great actor, but singing just isn't one of her talents.
