By not accepting who you are, you are not giving others the opportunity to see the real you. I love this podcast thank you.

I am so thankful to have found your Channel. I recently came out to my Wife of 32 years and it’s been a struggle for sure. I have found your episodes to be so validating and I’ve never been more certain I made the right decision. You’ve given me so much hope that I came out to two straight male friends this weekend, and they couldn’t have been any more supportive. Thank you guys.

Thanks for sharing that. Congratulations on your coming out journey, I know first hand it can be turbulent, but ultimately quite rewarding. Being authentic is liberating

Wow. I really loved this dialogue. Self acceptance is a journey not a destination. This resonates with many of us. Being gay we face a lot of trash from society and I still struggle with learning to love and accept myself but I need to pick myself and be authentic. Unlearning the homophobia infused by religion is A LOT of work. Loving your channel all the way from Southern Africa

Self acceptance, leads to innerstanding, compassion, gentleness, and peace. This leads to appreciation, gratitude and joy. This leads to love and total self love. This leads to loving all. It does start from within and it’s glorious and infinite. Huge love and gratitude for sharing your wisdom gentlemen. Hugs to all my glorious brothers out there.

Thanks gents. You’re all beautiful, articulate and handsome. I can’t get enough of listening to and discussing these topics and really appreciate your collective vulnerabilities. Matt, you’re a spunk! Sadly I don’t live in Canada 😜

What an amazing episode guys. So many things to get thinking about and help on the journey. Love the analogy of the table with piles of good and bad Michael, and Calan the looking in the mirror scenario accepting you for who you are, as you say so many don't do it, Matt love that you are still embracing the acceptance of many parts of your life and not afraid to deal with them and wanting to run and hide no matter how painful. Great work guys 🥰

Every person has flaws. However, individuals do not always realize what their flaws are. We are always harder on ourselves than we need to be. Unless you are upsetting every person you encounter, you may not need to make big changes about yourself. It is OK to make mistakes because you cannot do everything perfect. It is impossible, and it becomes exhausting. People get better internally as they age.

The real struggle I have with all of this, and with your podcast too (and make no mistake I listen because it IS challenging for me), is that you all make it sound so easy, when in fact this seems to me to be some of the most challenging and difficult work we will ever do in our lives. You don't acknowledge that this is a lifetime struggle, or how tiring that can be, and it seems that you do not often acknowledge just how tricky it is do what you advocate. I find this a little disheartening, if I didn't know better I would beat myself up in turn for having difficulty with changing my mindset, accepting myself etc etc

Great conversation. I am happy to see that gay men begin to create spaces for self-reflection. I was looking for something like this for my whole life. Personally the whole "waitlist" and no clear prices thing makes it not very welcoming. I would love to see something similar for queer men who are less attractive, masculine, and privileged.
