Not trying to be a thunder stealer, but Question 8 made me think of a tweet I read fairly recently. A young person was talking about how one of her college professors told the class, "Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly." Her overachieving mind was like, "What?" He went on to explain about doing your best doesn't mean giving all of yourself to every task. It's about doing the best you can in that moment. If you don't have the energy to take a shower, wash your face. If you don't have two whole minutes to brush your teeth, brush them for 30 seconds. Quite often the idea of starting something and wanting to do it perfectly keeps us from starting at all. Thank you for coming to my, Ted Talk. :)

To the person wondering if they are a good enough parent… YOU ARE!! Just by asking that question proves that you are because it shows you really care about your kids and want to be the best for them. As parents we just have to do our best as we go. Every kid is different and they will grow into different people along the way. My main thing is teaching my kids to be kind. If they grow up to be kind humans I will feel that my husband and I did something right. Lol

Regarding happiness… absolutely. I find that I will even compare myself to people that have things that I don’t even ideally want in my life, or want right now, or want exactly the same. But because they SEEM happy, and put together, then I start to believe that I am NOT happy/thriving/etc because I’m lacking xy or z. Not a fun time. And it’s what I’ve been struggling with legitimately all year of 2022!

What you said about happiness is so true. I'm in a new relationship and I started comparing it to my friends' relationships and fell into a spiral, but then I stopped, took a breath, and was so grateful for what I have. I think happiness takes a lot of self love and self reflection but happiness is what YOU make it, not anyone else.

Holding my cat baby as we watch this. “To live is to suffer” I read this in Buddhist scripture when I was 17 and I just didn’t understand the meaning at the time. It’s not that all of life is suffering, but the suffering is how you know you are alive on this plane as it is not necessary on others. We learn through our experiences of suffering, but agreed, the suffering I experience at the vet is almost too much for me so it may just be animal babies for me. LOVE YOU JVN!!

If we as a society keep trying to always "keep up with the Jones's" we will, in my opinion anyways never achieve anything or see what we have ourselves. I have had mental health issues since I was young, BPD to be exact. Inteusive thoughts always about " omg they don't like me" or "I feel like such an idiot for..." It's incredibly toxic, a way in which I made myself absolutely miserable.. and I see it in others, always wishing and wanting more.. God, I'm happy to wake up and put my feet on the damn floor every day. Trust me lovely folks, YOU ARE WORTHY, YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE ENOUGH! when you truly learn not to give a frack about what people think of you..... FREEDOM!! Much love beautiful people!! Some great advice as always. To the person dating with an age gap, you can make it work regardless of what society thinks. Also be realistic, the body ages and one of you will become a carer while they're still relatively young e.g. 50 dating 70 etc. It's inevitable.

I love these videos - you are so cute and genuine! That sweater is amazing. Regarding the age gap I'd just make sure you recognize and name the power imbalance. Power imbalances caused by different life stages or situations (e.g., student vs. established career, low-income vs. rich, etc.) can potentially put one person in a vulnerable position (even if unintentional). Enjoy your relationship but maintain financial and personal independence so if things go sideways you are in control.

You can’t “know” if a rib is broken without an X-ray, but you can make an educated guess based on where the pain is. If it hurts like a b go get an X-ray. Even a bruised ribs hurt like hell and you can’t tell the difference without an X-ray, but a broken rib could be really serious. I had bruised ribs from a car accident and it hurt to breathe for several weeks
