I agree with this, I'm having a hard time though, because it isn't illegal to be an asshole. And it seems like a huge jump to go from make believe to murder. The kids original testimony is really compelling to me, the recant is a little more difficult to swallow considering they have been with Tracy during that time. She is clearly not shy about her opinion, which no problem there, but it's hard to picture them not being influenced by the family that thought the husband was the best guy around.

The fact that she had recording devices all over the house to record how violent he is, yet only ever got him yelling and never recorded him physically attacking her is evidence enough to know that it was a viotile relationship with arguments but doesn't mean physical. Also just about anybody can be provoked into a screaming match if the other person pushes their buttons. Just from what was read, it was very clear that he was frustrated, that she didn't listen to him, that he felt he wasn't being heard. I think, just like Amber Heard, she provoked him till she got the reaction she wanted.

Who gives their grandkids a bat and a tennis racket? No balls? No glove? No face shield, just things that can be used as a weapon? And Molly “just happened” to have a brick on her bedside table? This was completely planned. ETA since most of the comments are saying the bat and racket aren’t that odd, it was the combination of “coincidences” that sealed it for me: 1) Dad just happened to come visit the night before. 2) Dad bought the kids gifts that could both be considered weapons, but “randomly” decided not to give them to them until morning. 3) Dad heard a noise and decided to go upstairs into their bedroom (who does that? What if they were involved in something completely different?) 4) Dad just happened to grab the bat before heading upstairs, supposedly having no idea what was going on at that point. 5) Wife just happened to decide to paint a brick right before her alleged attack. 6) Wife just happened to leave the brick on her bedside table. One of those, weird but ok. ALL of them? Sus af.
@cb3514
@cb3514 Жыл бұрын
Normally, I'd agree in this instance, but do we know if the children were already involved in the competitive sport for which their gift was equipment? Having been part of an active family with children in organized sports, these specific items are not only appropriate but incredibly necessary and appreciated! In competitive youth sports, the necessary equipment upgrade each year is more than you can imagine, and it becomes a demanded expense in order to participate. It would be silly to expect such gifts to include the appropriate miscellaneous equipment (balls, gloves, etc.), because those are the sort of overabundant items already laying around the house in excess for these types of families. On the other hand and to your point, however, there is no logical reasoning to explain the presence of that brick. It's here that this story becomes convenient to the point it's necessary to question whether everything was planned.
@KE-hr4sb
@KE-hr4sb Жыл бұрын
@@cb3514 That’s the thing, it was never mentioned if they’re even in those sports. But again, why not a glove and baseball? In some states, it’s illegal to have just a bat in your car, because it specifically is considered a weapon. 1) No extra sports gear, just those two specific items. 2) Dad just happened to be in town that night when it all went down. 3) Dad grabbed the bat before heading upstairs. 4) She also just happened to decide to paint a brick right before she was “attacked,” and also “just happened” to have it on her bedside table. There’s way too many “coincidences.”

Not to mention conveniently saving the gifts until the next day? The children both were home before they went to bed, it just seems to add to suspicion. But the brick. My kids played travel and they got just bats as presents. Buying gloves isn't as easy bc as a player you need a glove that's worn in. But I do think it's odd the day the bat was given to him, it was used as a weapon. It just so happened to be there

This is my take away. We know she has a history of lying. We know she was controlling in so much as she forced his hand to move to the States. And we know her story does not match the crime scene. Based on that, she can't be believed, so I would have to reject the self defense story and find her guilty of murder.

About that taped argument: the abuser in my family growing up would often turn the situation around like that. Rile you up, being absolutely unhinged, screaming and throwing tantrums and insulting you. Then all of a sudden and on their own terms once they’d made you the “crazy” one, they’d just stop and decide the argument was done and go back to acting “normal” and ignoring anything you said. You’d end up exasperated and sitting there still upset going “we’re not done talking about this?!”. So many times I got called the most vile things and made to believe I was the problem just for how I reacted to how I was being treated. Obviously I can’t say what happened between these two in that moment, just throwing my experience out there. Personally that recording could just as easily paint her in the bad light imo.

@iz1zn I couldn’t agree more. I felt the exact same way. It felt sooooo staged. She was being so polite and sweet and ‘normal’. Honestly he didn’t even say anything that bad. I’m surprised more ppl couldn’t see through that.

My question is, if she had set up recording devices all around the house to catch him, where's the one of him beating her that night? She staged it, and I don't trust her at all. Her father, being who he is, makes me trust them less. I know certain ppl who worked for gov entities who still get away with ruining people's lives just cause they don't like them. I'm weary of those type of men. I think they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
@ixizn

@@Kelly-gl5rl Yeah, when combined with everything else, the fact that she was so cool and collected makes her the one who seems even more guilty in my eyes. If you’re in the middle of an argument with your abuser, if you don’t fight back chances are very high you’re going to be fawning to at least keep from making them angrier. She was straight up acting like nothing. Ok, Molly’s boyfriend said she had recently been released from a mental health facility. Did Jason know this before he hired her? Did he know at all? And, the kids immediately went to stay at Molly’s brother’s house. This is just my opinion, but it’s entirely possible those kids were coached while they were there. They were traumatized by their father’s death and in shock I imagine. It wouldn’t have been difficult for them to be manipulated by being told they would lose Molly also if they didn’t “help” her. And yes, please cover the trial.

Man I hope they are convicted and spend a minimum of 25 years behind bars! To know that two young children already had to experience the trauma and suffering of losing their mother and to then take their father and leave them parent less is an aggravating factor in! If he was truly abusive she would've just let him go back to Ireland since he wanted to anyway. Also, no man is going to wait til their In - Laws are visiting their home and decide THAT'S the time to violently attack their daughter. Also it makes zero sense that if he's upset about being woken up because he's that tired that he then wants to wait for his wife to return to the room to have a wrestling match, he would've wanted to just go back to sleep. Even if there weren't all these piled up inconsistencies, the way two people both beat him over and over again until they KNEW he was more than dead would never happen in a real non premeditated self defense case. In order to kill someone with a baseball bat you have to really be trying to kill them in order to do so.
