My therapist sent me this when I emailed her in a really bad cPTSD episode and I burst into tears afterwards because of how powerful it was. I was tearing up while touching my face gently and thinking about how badly I wished someone had comforted me like this, but also feeling empowered realizing that I can comfort myself like this. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your videos. I recently lost a partner suddenly and am using your videos to help as I feel shock and grief. I am taking notes from your Conference videos to understand more and I search for as much info as I can find about HAVENING. The sound is fine at this end. Thank you 💞

Hello Marion, my heart aches for you and I'm so glad this content is supportive as your navigating these painful times. When I was 29 years old I was widowed a week before my wedding to my partner of 10 years. Sudden unexpected loss leaves so many questions and such a huge void in life and in the heart. You're in my thoughts and I'm sending you so much love and giving you a great big havening hug! ❤️❤️

Thank you so much Kate, your words mean a great deal to me. Yes when I was listening to your conference I heard your story and it was incredible. I have been searching for all the havenening videos I can find and I have tried to make my way thru Dr. Ruden’s book but your story and your talk really got thru to me. I had found Havening before my sudden loss and luckily I have been able to turn to it for help. Your videos are so good and so soothing . Yes so many questions!.....I have finally found myself really confronted also with my own death and dying reality, and consequently searching .....the only fortunate thing about the Virus happening at this time has been the availability of help online happening concurrently with my loss. I will sign up for your conference and look forward to watching it😀. I really appreciate your hugs and thoughts...really do 💞💞💞💞🌹🌹🌹🌹

I just found your channel and it’s very helpful thank you! I like this video better than some of the others where there’s some kind of filter going on, you seem much more genuine in this more natural way of filming. I hope that is not insulting I don’t mean it that way, I just personally like this more natural video. You’re quite stunning so it’s not necessary to filter anything :-)

Isn't true that Havening will "decode" this permanently? And that once a situation has been decoded its done? Thanks
@DrKateTruitt4 жыл бұрын
Hello Wil, great question! Certified Havening Techniques Practitioners are trained in specific protocols that target the AMPA receptors on the lateral nucleus of the Amygdala. These protocols may depotentiate (or decode as you say) encoded past traumatic experiences that are causing distress and disturbance in the present moment. This meditation is designed as a tool for autonomic nervous system regulation to address immediate difficulty in the present moment while lowering the likelihood of strengthening (and will likely even decrease!) the impact of past encoded experiences.

@@DrKateTruitt Thanks for your answer...there are a few other practitioners that say that Havening "disconnects" that loop physiologically locks us into that anxiety loop or whatever. I also read the story of your fiance and how you reacted for the next few years.. until you went through this. I have done havening a few times for some bothersome issues and always enjoyed the results....However I was quick in doing them and now know that it takes a good 15-20 minute session. Recently I just did, for the first time a "positive havening" and I swear I could feel all this "beautiful" energy flow throughout my bady and lasted until I went to sleep. I have attached another you tube video that is an explanation I think you might like-Thank you for your time! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHWZgZZ7jKl9mNE

@@wilsmith6551 Yes, Havening definitely "disconnected" the loop of brutal PTSD that I lived with for 5 years after my fiancé unexpectedly passed one week before our wedding. As a trauma specialist and clinical psychologist I had tried every trauma treatment in the field with "softening" around the trauma triggers occurring but no full resolution with the most severe symptoms of the PTSD. Havening gave me my brain and life back. We see different versions of this same incredible phenomenon occur with our patients day after day. It's such a gift to witness. I'm delighted you have begun moving into incorporating the resiliency work into your own practice. We have so much power to heal, guide, and protect our brains! And thank you for linking Tam's video. It's one of my favorites. Wishing you much health and wellness.

I am a therapist who would really like to learn Havening, but the training is ridiculously expensive. This is keeping most clinicians from using it.
@DrKateTruitt4 жыл бұрын
Hello Lynn, I’m excited to hear you would like to learn Havening. It is such a powerful modality with many exciting opportunities for both therapeutic interventions and self-healing. Unlike most bulk trainings which can have anywhere from 50 - 250 attendees, the Havening trainings are designed to be small and intimate which allows for the attendees to have an in-depth personal experience with the modalities while exploring direct applications of the tools to their own clinical practice. At my trainings we have a ratio of trainers/facilitators to attendees of 2:1 - which of course does increase the overhead. I do want to honor that different trainers and organizations set different price points for trainings and Havening is no exception. My team and I at Viva Excellence (www.vivaexcellence.com) host the Havening Techniques trainings that are designed specifically for Mental Health Practitioners. We work very hard to create an experience of excellence while making the training as accessible as possible to our fellow colleagues. In light of the economic impact of Covid-19 we have also dropped the cost of the Training significantly. I hope to see you at a training soon!
