I’ve literally been playing dead since April and have since broken our soul tie. It’s like I woke up and nothing will ever be the same. It’s definitely one step forward three steps back process but once you snap out of it and see light at the end of the tunnel it gets easier. Today is xx/xx and I am doing this action and I choose myself. This is somebody’s else problem and not mine.” This self talk brings me to the present and it helped me a lot.

Self love is honesty with self. It's learning to laugh. It's inventing a zillion go to play behaviors which really make you laugh out loud and breaking them out often. Self love is attention to self. Self love requires introspective self examination. Self love is finding out who you are. Self love is being True to Self, letting yourself be flawed, saying what you think when you think it. Self love is creating Good Ego character traits like honesty, open mindedness, giving, mercy, compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, etc.. and then learning to love yourself because you know you are a good person who carries those traits when it's not easy.

Some of the things that has benefited my mental health is recognizing people's patterns and learning how to interact with them. I have narcs in my immediate family. I can avoid them for so long but when we do get together I no longer feel depressed after leaving their presence. They have stopped criticizing me but the manipulative ones still try to use me for their personal gain. I'm proud that I don't get frustrated anymore and just let it go.

Gratitude definitely elevates the positive energy that you put out into the universe. Being grateful truly does trigger positive thoughts which radiates and attracts what you want in your life. In conclusion... it all starts with self-love. 💞 Love this video. Self love is, indeed, a big umbrella that is important to talk about and worth breaking down! From another self love content creator to another.. great video beauty! 💕

❤Thank you. As you say, self-care and learning to self-parent (Love the inner children who weren't loved all through the different ages they needed to be), being gentle and kind towards yourself as you would be to others who you Love, replace the negative thoughts (energies) with positive thoughts (I use little phrases repeated over and over again of positivity), stay aware of how you feed and care for yourself, and be grateful for all that you have because there are those with much less in life. Enjoy all the beauty and joy you can each day because healing ourselves is a life-long journey and no one gets out alive or with their wordly possessions 😉😊

This was a milestone video for me Steph. I have watched a few of your videos before and they helped, but the other day when I watched this video, I was in the right headspace and it all just clicked. Everything just finally clicked in my brain. Self parenting finally made sense. I have been searching for everyone else to parent me all my life, I had never stopped to think, I can actually parent myself and reassure myself and tell myself it'll be ok, I love you, I'm not going to hurt you anymore because I love you. Self love is something I never had and I truly despised and hated myself all my life, so I kept running away from myself to find comfort in relationship after relationship and then running when they got hard to a fresh one for the good feelings that I never felt in myself. So it finally made sense to me watching this that I'm not gonna hurt myself anymore. I love myself and I'm here to reassure myself and that is so special and beautiful and really really affected me. So thankyou for this video. A lot of others helped me aswell. But this one just hit me and it was the right time when I needed it and broke through the walls. Thankyou so much. Mental health is so important and after years of ignoring it. I'm glad finally I've seen the need to journey to heal and develop my mental health. So thankyou for this video and the help it gave me. This is only early on in my journey 1.5months of healing after some massive losses in my life which made me finally wake up and realise I need to change and fix myself. I have a lot to go. But this arms me with the ability to parent and care for myself and be happy with myself. So thankyou! Whoop. Keep up the great work.

My grandparents had a wood stove in their livingroom. I remember coming in from playing outside for hours in the snow, getting out of my winter stuff.. and just standing in front of it to get warm. It wasn't until I moved that I realized I had stayed too long, and it was painful the amount of heat on my jeans touching my skin. I guess this is how I feel looking at pictures of "us" together, for a bit it is so warm and cozy, but when I go to move on with the day it burns me so bad. I miss him and love him so deeply, I'm hurting myself trying to get cozy and warm - to fend off my lonliness... and not realizing or accepting that I will warm up on my own - that trying to warm up too quickly is just hurting me more.

This is perfect timing, as my daughter & I are hosting a self Love meditation tomorrow night. My self Love practice started with paying attention to my self talk. When I started noticing how many times a day I call myself stupid, I changed it up. It felt silly at first, like I was trying to baby myself. After a while though, it really helped me feel better, and be able to get into other self loving exercises; better diet, better self expression, shadow work. One thing I am always working on is my addiction to sugar. That is real stuff right there! I have to reel myself in regularly on that one. Also expressing my boundaries & needs is one I'm working on lately. I discovered that I'm not very good in that department. Here's to everyone's self loving journey! 💗

A mentor of mine pointed out that I wasn't loving myself. When I asked her how she stated that I should ask God to show me the way. I started praying, meditating, googling, and of course KZbin searching. I learned that my diet and exercising had a major affect. I started a green juice fast to reset my body. Started working out 30 minutes 3-4 days a week. Changed my diet completely leaving out a lot of high sugar and saturated fat foods and imputing more greens. My mental health is improved. My thoughts don't seem as negative anymore and if they are I can recognize the pattern and let the thoughts go instead of perpetuating them. Now I'm understanding myself better that I like alone time and need a meditation session periodically to recharge myself. This video confirmed some ideas I have about self love and helped form new ones like comparing isn't good for growth if it's taken too far. Thanks for the good content.💕

Thank you for reminding me how important gratitude is! I can see how loosing my focus on it has been affecting many parts of my daily life and how I interact with others. Gonna fix that! I really need to work on self validation and telling myself it's ok to feel lonely, awkward, frustrated, etc. These are normal and healthy to experience when we're growing. They can be great cues to dive into what's going on inside my heart and head as well as what's going on around me and what I can do to change my heart, head, and situation so that I am free to shine on. ✨

Perfection is a myth that keeps you striving and just a little disappointed in yourself and others, good enough is good enough!

Having the courage to cultivate my skills and talents, learning to be my own best friend and enjoy my own company, unlearning the message that I need a partner to be fulfilled in life. Speaking to myself kindly, being my own best friend and giving MYSELF the benefit of the doubt rather than every body else. Learning to listen to my gut so that I start to learn whats good for me and what isn't, instead of saying "yes" to everything out of obligation/pleasing.

Love this ❤️ As someone with a disability, I always think about the fact that someone out there has it worse. Not to be happy with someone’s misery of course but grateful for what I do have and can do.

I was looking for the subject on self-love, and after searching and watching for hours on youtube, you are the first one that is saying something with experience and know-how, all others are just regurgitating someone else's garbage.....thank you for your insight....!!

My weakest area in self love is not loving myself enough. I’m an unfortunate people pleaser so I’ve always been more focused on other people’s happiness before my own. Thanks to you, I’m working on that! Thank you!

I think the areas I need to focus on the most are my body (making healthier food choices and exercising regularly out doors) and positive affirmations.

Thank you! the points you made are so valid, important and helpful. Essentially it all boils down to being present and not engaging with overwhelming thoughts; meditation is the one thing that takes care of everything for you; when you focus on breathing, you basically kill all the mind's chatter; and when your mind is clear then you find the drive to do everything that is good for you. Wishing you all bliss and joy💜

I hear everything that you're saying in this video and it all makes sense...but i'm so trapped in my head at times, that regardless of how many times i replay this, i cannot seem to find a way to feel love for myself. I am always grateful, and i find joy when i'm able to be present in the moment, but so often, i allow my worth to be dictated by how others treat me. It's like i can't see myself :(

I think the first step (not sure if it applies to you) would be for someone to stop feeling guilty or sad because they go through these bad spells of low self worth. See it as something that happens, like a headache. Uou know it passes. Also someone told me that self worth is meaningless, we pay too much attention to this concept and yet it cannot be measured, it cannot be demonstrated and it cannot be compared. And lastly, sometimes internal change just happens out of the blue, as log as you keep focus on what we want to change with some effort. This video is really good, I enjoyed listening to it :)

Sleeping on time, going for long walks, keeping friends only who really care and not the fake ones who are narcassists. Leaving whatsapp group and friends group which are bothering me.. I'm on my way.. I'm improving and I deserve this.. thanks for all your videos 😘❤

Found out I am vitamin d deficient and started getting migraines and pelvic/leg pain after have my last child. My husband seemed to resent me and our relationship got strained his criticism and daily bad mood made me feel more depressed then just the health issues now I feel so deep in that. I'm realizing because of lockdowns I havent gotten a haircut in over a year or a pedicure I literally never get alone time because my kids have to come to work with me now aswell. I think 15 minutes is a good starting point. I may not be able to change others behavior towards me but I can take better care of myself thats for sure! I'm getting a haircut with a mask and going to try and squeeze a mommy only bubble bath this week! Thank you so much♡

As for me, I've always been afraid to say no to people, and I often compare myself to others because I hate my flaws or worry about future problems. Lately, I have been listening to many lessons about self-love. First time here but I think i really needed your advice.
