Thanks James, this bait is a killer! Some quick mods are add a little color on the tail with a sharpie or rub the bait to mute the color. Take a spool of of lead wire and wrap it around the hook it will sink a little faster. If fish are slapping at the bait you can rig it on a straight worm hook and fish it on an exposed hook. There are also times when a 3mm glass rattle will be a good add. Tight lines 👍

Hey James……. I have most of the other fluke type baits but never tried the D-shad. Yamamoto makes a great product so I have no doubt it will work. Thanks for the tip and video!! 🍻🍻

Just found your channel. Thx for the info. Love soft jerks for river smallies.

Tie a small swivel on the line 12 inches out in front and use small lite weight split shot in 5 foot and shallower.

Ive found it to work really well with out all that, though in deeper depths or really windy days that’s a good tip

Never tried the d-shad, never seen them. But I like the fluke a whole lot, and this looks similar, maybe just a quicker fall?
@jamesniggemeyerfishing34327 ай бұрын
Yessir heavier due to salt content, easier to throw and handles nice on windy days

That fluke is a deadly bait on Lake Palestine from February till, well anytime really.

I use to nose hook a Zoom years ago but stopped because they don’t ship to Canada anymore. I may try the d shad if I can find them but I ‘m not going to loose any sleep over it. I prefer wacky over Texas rig but I may have another go with it on a Senko .

Off subject but what rod reel line do you use for floating worm fishing?
@razy76097 ай бұрын
watching this like I can catch fish, I’ve spent a day on Lake Erie catching nothing. I think my rod puts bad vibes into the water.

Yamamoto D-Shad...it's far better than any fluke.

Yamamoto works but is expensive and frail

So this was just a infomercial for the d shad. That "other" bait you couldn't seem to remember was a zoom fluke, your welcome.
