1) If you use store-bought pear juice, I would skip adding sugar to the marinade. (Store-bought pear juice is much sweeter than naturally-squeezed pear juice) 👍... 2) Dont dump in the leftover soy sauce marinade into the frying pan. There will be enough marinade soaked into the beef pieces.

I was just wandering how you could make this into a vegan dish would you substitute the meat for tofu if so what type and how would you cook it before and during the making of this dish??
@madeleinek.8526 жыл бұрын
Monica Attalla maybe jackfruit??
@monicaattalla20926 жыл бұрын
@@madeleinek.852 instead of meat? How will that work? (I'm not being rude I'm genuinely curious.)
@madeleinek.8526 жыл бұрын
Monica Attalla I’m not vegetarian, but I’ve seen it being used as faux pulled pork, I’m guessing it could be used here as well.. jackfruit doesn’t taste like much (a little sweet) and could possible just taste like the marinade.. or maybe tempeh could work, or soy crumbles I see in the grocery store as well? Good luck!

Neighbors, what are some must-try dishes to sample in Eataly? (Are there regional specialities? We will be in Rome, Tuscany & Venice 🤓)
@CountryMama3376 жыл бұрын
Pizza. I've heard they have some of the best pizza.

Have fun in Italy. I used to live in Naples for 3yrs. If you visit Italy again you must visit and sample the food of the southern region. There are a few places I would recommend that are not touristy. I have a list of places I loved, I will post them later. You must try gelato with pistacchio(pistachio) and cornetto(brioche) with pistacchio cream.
@alessandrosalvatore38266 жыл бұрын
First of all never eat near monuments or touristic places: they are traps, expensive and quite never good. In Venice or Tuscany don't eat pizza, because you will hardly find a decent one there. In Rome instead you should try "pizza al taglio" which is a different concept of pizza tipical of Rome: you buy pizza by weight, the slices are rectangular and it is cooked in an electric oven. Raccomanded places for pizza Al taglio are pizzarium Bonci and forno roscioli. Cacio e pepe, gricia, carbonara and amatriciana are the Classic pasta dishes in Rome, there are a lot of good places, but I would suggest Felice al testaccio, tavernaccia da bruno, vecchia Roma and Armando al Pantheon (it is right near the pantheon and the only exception to the first rule), booking will probably be a good idea for all of these places. If you become tired of Italian food, there are a few Korean restaurant, I still haven't tried them all, but gainn is my favourite, always full of Korean tourists and the owner is very nice, but you should probably book also here (I never find a table available). If you are looking for a more high end meal I would go either to marzapane which is said to do one of the best carbonara in rome (great lunch menu for 30€), or retrobottega. Another classic dish of Rome is fried salted cod which I would try at "dar filettaro" with a puntarelle salad. I am from Rome by the way
@alessandrosalvatore38266 жыл бұрын
Ah and gelato of course, the temperature is still warm enough. I would go to "la Romana" or "come il latte"

Are Nashi pears just as good for this recipe btw? It is simple enough to buy some Nashi pears over here in Australia, they are pretty juicy but I don't know if they are as sweet as the Korean pear :/.

How do you preserve your minced garlic? Do you just put cloves into a shredder and put the outcome into a plastic container? Or do you add like oil or such? And how long does it usually last? Because i'd rather keep a box of minced garlic in my fridge too lol
@ichh62126 жыл бұрын
You can by a box of minced garlic in the store or you could mince it and freeze it - this is what I do to prevent the garlic from starting to grow. :D
@bolter22036 жыл бұрын
Ich H thanks for your answer :) Well i never saw minced garlic in the stores (germany) so i would have to do it by myself :) Just don't want the garlic to go bad too early..
