INGREDIENTS:
2 onions (one chopped, one whole)
Lots of garlic
Oil for frying
1kg beef shoulder
6 large potatoes
1 large sweet potato
3 large carrots
1 cup chickpeas
1 cup kidney beans
1 cup barley
2 Tbsp tomato puree
1 cup Coca Cola
Salt
Peper
Tumeric
Paprika
Chicken Soup Powder
Water to cover ingredients
2 cups rice
4 eggs

Fry the Tomato Paste in another pan for a bit before adding it to the pot.

Creativity is always welcome , specially in the kitchen, but plz don’t add cola to the hamin if you call it Moroccan. Yes it’s hamin but no Sephardi or Moroccan.

What are these cooking bags called? My mother used to put barley in a stocking in the pot. I wonder if the cooking bag is the same idea?

In Ladino, that's called by some "sudado". Cumin and salt only.

You don't seem to include many more egg recipes. Don't Jewish people eat lentils at all, most meat based ones. Since I am Indian we tend to consume more dals or lentils. Rajmah or black eyed beans don't seem to have any place in your culture.

Looks very good , the bag of rice cooks all night with the hamin as well? Or once it’s cooked you remove it and put it before the hamin is ready.

Thank you, David! Once the rice is cooked I keep it separate and serve together with the hamin on Shabbat day 😊
