Sounds like you had a great time in Alaska. Glad you made it home safely. When you’re talking about spooning for stripers crashing shad what type are you using. I have bought several never caught anything on the. The ones have used have all be weighted.

When I'm spooning for stripers I am usually using a 2 oz spoon: Bladerunner or ones that I make. For stripers just put it in front of them. I did videos on spooning and you can still watch them.

Yes I posted pics on my FB page. Caught lots black cod, halibuts, silver salmon, rock cod and flounders. My group had twenty people. Shelter Lodge Juneau Alaska you can google the lodge for info. The food is off the hook too!

Sounds great! Rittenberg bank is a lot of fun fishing lings n rockfish. I'm usually right by Powers out there. I'm just posting reports weekly around this area. I was doing a lot of videos but I don't have the time plus I'm getting to old lol

Thanks Alan! What tide do you like flipping wood and anything other than brush hogs as bait? Any thoughts on low tide for striper?

I like high outgoing tide when flipping wood. I usually use a 1oz tungsen weight pegged with a gamagatsu 4/0 round bend hook. Brushhog, beaver, ragecraw are my go to baits.
