Serena v Watson is one proof that she's the Greatest. The crowd was awful but Serena's mental strength is beyond. I don't see any player that can level the mental toughness of Serena in that match.

tracy.....then Bianca says "hold my beer" and promptly destroys Serena while showing more grit, determination, guts and mental strength than Serena and her whole family will ever have. It's not that Serena is now losing all the time because of her age or motherhood. It's because the deep pool of young talent in women's tennis figured out that Serena just isn't very good, never was, and they now have strategies that expose the many weaknesses in her game. No court coverage, no variety etc. These are weaknesses that Serena has had her whole career.

I still get annoyed with watching the Radwanska match. Her level from the SF to the F of the 2016 AO was night and day. Yes, Kerber is a better player than Aga for sure, but Serena still didn't play nowhere near her SF level in the F. Kudos to Angie for pulling it out though as most players would've capitulated.

Ok....let's see.... since you obviously are trying to put graf ahead of her...does she the 'technical' grand slam? No....but she has won the 4 majors consecutively not once but TWICE....golden slam? No....but she also has a gold medal....along with THREE others in doubles with venus....and that gold in 88 that graf got was the ONLY one she got....4 years later she lost to a VERY young Jennifer capriati who basically hadn't won anything at that point....Next point...look at the main competition in graf's prime (old Martina, old Chris, Sanchez vicario, sabatini, and mj Fernandez)....I'll get into seles in a min.... Serena's main competition was Venus, davenport, hingis, henin, capriati, clisters, Sharapova, kerber, Osaka, halep, azarenka....EVERY one of these players would have mopped the floor with graf's main rivals....except seles....and speaking of seles...when seles was in HER prime (90-93), Graf won exactly TWO majors out of a possible TWELVE majors (90 French-93 Aussie open)...Seles in that same time frame won EIGHT!!! Including beating graf 3 times...she was CLEARLY the #1 player...and was DOMINATING women's tennis...then she got stabbed by a graf fan in Germany..and was never the same player....and let the record show that graf won exactly HALF of her 22 slams AFTER the seles stabbing!! When graf faced someone who hit the ball as hard or close to it she struggled...and seles was the only won in her prime that did that and that's why graf didn't win hardly any slams between 90-93) Serena won more majors in less matches...against MUCH stiffer competition....plus she won a major PREGNANT!! Martina is greatest all around women's player....but Serena is the 🐐 as far as singles women's players ...

​@dreman1970 Just to add a little to your points. Monica wasn't even in her prime between 1990-1993. She was around 16-19 years. She was likely going to peak around late 93 to early 95. Also the way 16 year old Martina Hingis dominated Steffi's rivals in 1997 and beyond makes you appreciate how inferior her competition was in the 90s. These Steffi fanatics are so insecure. Serena holds the most important record which is the most slams by a woman in the open era.
