This was a really good series for getting to know the basics of Unreal Engine. I was frustrated with a paid course that didn't explain what was happening under the hood and why we did what we did. After completing this playlist I could now go back to the paid course and get much more value out of it. Wonderful job and I've already recommended this to several of my gamedev friends who are curious about Unreal.

Thanks for the kind words! That was my intent. I noticed that most tutorials walkthrough a list of steps, but I really wanted a series that would explain the 'why' of all the basics. Glad it helped you! I'll probably eventually have some more intermediate stuff later on too, but I may need to jump back into Unity for a while before returning. Stay tuned!

first of all thank you for this amazing courses, I watched the entire playlist, I am making an endless runner game using a ball that I made by watching you r tutorials, can you please let me know how I can make the ball walk forward on its own, here is what I tried so far, - I used the add movement input method, but it didn't work since the pawn didn't have any movement system. - i added a floating pawn movement to it, and then it work, but its moving without rotating. - i added a rotator but the rotator get controlled when i start moving the ball myself and its rotation get ruined. I'm sure there is a better way i just don't know it. and if there is any other advice regarding my endless runner using the ball please do let me know. thank you in advance.

I'd have to relook through the tutorial to be sure, but I would think you could just replace the 'input' action with the 'Tick' (so that it happens every frame no matter what) then just give it the direction you want, instead of the direction defined by movement. So, a global direction or a local forward direction, etc. The rest of the nodes should be the same... I think. At least that would be my approach.
