I'm not a camper. But my brother & his wife bought a brand new decked out glamper 4 yrs ago. I wished them well, but had doubts. I was so wrong. They have used that camper on several trips every year. Their kids are teenagers now & still love camping with the parents. Because they home school, they can take off any time of year & see the country when places aren't over crowded with tourists. I hope you have years of wonderful experiences & make happy memories. 😊 they loved South Dakota, put it on your list

I had serious buyers remorse the other day also. I was all ready to sign a 12 month lease on an apartment I hated!!! Had the money order in hand ready to make the deal. That morning at 630am my Dad called because he did not want me to go ahead with it. I agreed immediately! I did not get the apartment and in the end God provided the perfect apartment that I really wanted the next day. Listen to your gut-instinct! And wait 24 hours before making big decisions/purchases. So glad you were able to get out of the bad deal and into a good deal!

This thing happened to us with an apartment we thought we liked and made a deposit on. Something really bothered me and I can't put a finger on it! But we prayed and the Lord led us to withdraw from contract. Few months down the road my husband had an injury, was immobile for a while and had to go through surgery. It would have been so difficult for us to be in that location with a toddler far from any grocery, drugstores and clinic had we pushed through and ignored God's given wisdom for us. ❤

@@dimplevillareal7856 We had something similar happen, we were looking for a larger home in 2007/2008 and already own a home. My husband loved one in particular and although I really did love the house and property and knew we had renovations to do and we could do most of it ourselves, my gut was telling me no. We entered into a contingent contract on the home, continued to show our home and I was praying we did not get a reasonable offer because I kept feeling like this would be a huge mistake but knew as long as we abided by the contract and did not refuse a good offer we could back out after the 30 day contingent period and get our money back. When the contingency period ended we did back out and I am so glad we did. We kept an eye on the listing for any price changes and I saw a correction on the taxes in the listing; they went from $8k to $11k for the prior period, which is over what we wanted to pay for taxes (mistake in the listing). We decided to take ours off the market, renovate our existing home instead (baths, kitchen, doors, windows, etc.), and stay in our home until we were ready to look at a later time if we were still interested in selling. In early August 2008 I broke my leg in three places in a horseback riding accident, we took guardianship of our seven-year-old niece a few weeks later (we do not have kids), and a day or two after that my husband was released from his job with a package. All of that was bad enough, then as we were nearing the end of our renovations and preparing to refinance, pay off the zero interest short term loans (playing with other peoples money), and put in a basement (phase2) the market fell out on housing and everyone started losing their jobs. It took my husband a year and a half to find a new job, things started to look a bit brighter, and six months later I was released from my job of 11 years. We would have lost everything if we had gone forward with the purchase of the other home due to the job loss alone and we would not have been able to sell it when the bottom fell and home prices tanked in October. Always follow your gut instinct. Lynn

Growing up we tent, then cab over, then pop up, then rv. So I’m restarting back at tent camping with my family and hoping to move towards something with a generator in it because our daughter has medical needs- once we pay off our wheelchair van (we only had to finance half! Thanks to a great used car company that adapts them for cheaper, some savings and a few friends and family donations)

Patience & diligence pay off! Have a great time enjoying your new camper! Years ago, when our kids were very young (preschool), at a marriage retreat the speakers advised camping as a way to have real family time. No or limited screen time is something I would add to modernize their suggestions. We did have a small TV back in the day, in our pop up camper that we pulled out on rainy days. Camping creates moments for great family discussions as well as many many memories to talk & laugh about for years to come!

At a home and garden show. We signed for it and everything it would be about two weeks till we got it. We had never bought anything so expensive or new. We couldn’t sleep that night of course was it the old mattress or the $5000 dollars we signed for? We cancelled the next day! Learned our lesson!!! Totally loved you guys. Amazing job on the video. Appreciate that y’all were so down to earth and real. We all have budgets bills families etc.... I’m like Tom I won’t sleep knowing I can do better and when I have a gut feeling watch out. I won’t let it go. Congratulations on getting a great deal and getting exactly what you want. That’s pretty rare. Thanx for sharing.

I'm So glad you were able to back out of the original contract. There are so many brands out there with similar layouts. This is pretty much what we are looking for. We're hoping the big rv show in our area gets scheduled this fall so we can really get that spacial awareness so we can understand all the sq footage

I’m SO glad you were able to get your money back on the first one ! We are full time RVers and we had mold in one of ours. We found out that you’re supposed to re-seal the roof every 3 years. We’ve always done that and had no problems whatsoever with any of them !!!! Such a minor thing to prevent SO many bad things. I love your new camper and hope you enjoy many many years of fun 🤩 !!! ❤️

Bless you two!!!! After watching your videos, we are camping right now! 😊 Renting, thankfully! I have to say- I agree with your seller. Camping is a true struggle. It is cramped, hot and a ton of work. We even rented the biggest RV we could, since we have 4 kids as well!! 😳 I don't believe it feels like vacation at all. Because of you, we had RV renovation dreams which now are null & void! 😆 Building a cabin in the "right" woods (our climate is way too hot here; we need to buy in the mountains) will be much more our speed! Bless your adventures & work ethic! 🥰😆

I grew up in a house with one small bathroom (5 ft X 6 ft) one little sink and there were 4 people and we survived. Our neighbours had 11 kids and two beds and no indoor bathroom. Camping is all about memories and the stories your kids will tell will be wonderful years from now. Sounds like you got the rig that is just right for your family.

We spent years camping with our 6 kids in a truck camper and/or a VERY SMALL travel trailer to which where we lacked storage we put things in plastic stackable totes and placed them in a small dome easy pop-up tent when we got where we were going. [Clothes totes around the perimeter makes room for a private changing area!] It worked so great that we later used another small dome tent for our own porta potty outhouse. Consider giving yourselves some time (1-2 years) without making any changes and see if your family can come up with creative out-of-the-box solutions! BLESSINGS on your grand adventures ♥️

I'm so glad you guys found something you love! There's nothing like it when you finally get that thing that you've been wanting for a long time! Just happened for me with a car I purchased last year. Was able to score a gently used convertible that was in like-new condition/low miles for only 4k. Every time I get in it, I just say to myself, "I LOVE my car" I've had it for a year, and I STILL love it!

Personally, I would use it multiple times before investing the time and money to make changes. Like you said, it's luxury compared to what you had as a kid. You may even discover that you love something about it as is that you originally were not too sure about.

It’s hard not to customize when you have the ability. The problem is the weight it ads because things aren’t heavy or very durable in modern RV’s.

We are on our 4th camper and it’s a huge modern farmhouse style Jayco Eagle 330RSTS and we LOVE it. We checked off all of our boxes when we bought this one. Our kids are adults now and they rarely want to go camping so we upgraded to a model with one bedroom and a huge living kitchen area with recliners and a sofa bed, huge fridge and a fireplace. It has the bedroom that slides out and a walk in shower. Yes the same layouts are available in multiple campers. We bought the last 2 campers of ours new and would never ever buy used again.

Excellent choice. Kids can sleep head-to-feet, rather than head beside head; this gives more elbow room for each. Especially handy if you give each child their own sleeping bag. As our 4 kids got older, they were happy to sleep in a small popup tent or even in the truck which had a simple shell. This one should last a long time!! Happy trails & have fun making memories.
