The plain ones make the best “noodle” layer for keto lasagna. I’ve tried everything: zucchini (wet), roasted zucchini, prosciutto, deli chicken, folios, cremini egg wraps…. This is the only one where my hubs didn’t go “what’s this” and pick the lasagna apart. It held up well to reheating also (which was one of the biggest issues with some of the other layer materials) and the wrap thinned out upon reheating (more lasagna noodly).

I've always found EggLife wraps to be a bit eggy to my taste, but a decent wrap mechanism (as you found). However, I'm a fan of your 90 second tortilla - not as a wrap, but used as a tostada-like base for pizza, eggs, or even a sandwich (make them smaller). I make them ahead, refrigerate, and toast them in the toaster oven to get a nice firm shell-like consistency.

I fry the original in lard, poking bubbles with a fork until they are slightly brown like a tortilla. At that point they take on the flavor of the lard and have a crispy but soft texture great for tacos! Careful not to over cook them, like you said they will taste eggy.

Sounds great!

I love the way you explain the simple facts (the use of garlic/onion powder that may have rehydrated in the egg) and try different ways to make the wraps. The eggy flavor is something that can make or break a recipe especially with keto. Thanks for your content. 😋

I am so glad I found/watched this video. I’ve only seen the regular in the yellow package at the store, none of the other 3. A year after this video was posted I’m seeing this priced at $6.50 to $8 per pkg. I will try Aldis for the other 3 types and hopefully a better price too. Thank you for the video!!!! ❤

I use them to make pizzas. Fry in butter for a few min on each side then put on a baking sheet. Put whatever pizza toppings you want and put under the broiler for a few secs. Yum

I used the cauliflower ones to replace crepes to make chicken divan crepes. FANTASTIC!! They were fabulous. I will try them in other crepe dishes.

The rye is really good. Used it for rueben wraps just last week.

Steve, this is what I did with the south west flavor one. Heat a fry pan on medium high heat with no oil. Fry the wrap 30 -60 seconds on each side. It browns a bit and has a bit of a crunch and was great as a “soft taco “ wrap. This same cooking prep did not have the same result with the plain wrap…..only the southwest flavored one. Those were the only 2 kinds I found at Target.

Thank you. I didn't know that about soy oil! If these wraps are not too expensive, I'll make them my tortilla of choice. All good wishes.

I have all of these in my refrigerator and was wondering what to do with them. I guess they are just going to be the delivery method for meat and cheese. Thanks for doing the testing!

When I want a wrap, I just cook a thin omelet and thats it, sometimes it gets tort when I'm eating but it tastes good, I eat eggs almost every day so sometimes I eat them in wrap form if I'm bored of them

These are delicious and so versatile. I am going to add some of my own spices to the plain ones and enjoy. Thanks for the video and the suggestions.
