Welcome back to the vlog guys. This was a humbling moment and one I'm not proud of. The entire day was off. Trying out a new style almost cost me BIG! This Ducati 1098s is so easy to ride and I made it look complicated. It's an amazing bike and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Very powerful yes, but nothing out of this world.
It was a frustrating day to say the least. Progress though. Not the bikes fault, but the rider. I'm learning a new style vs. instinctive riding as I've done for decades. A fine balance between the two. I'll keep you posted on the progress as I adapt new habits.

The comments are crazy, I ride an 848 myself and I don't think many people realize how differently the 848/1098/1198 models ride compared to the average Japanese bike. Awesome bike man, and awesome riding

I think your vision got fixated on the outside of the corner and that’s why you ended up there. As you can see from the bikes in front there wasn’t much lean required. You should always look through the corner and look at the exit point and crank it over rather than tense up. Use a lower gear so the engine spins faster it’s stops it pushing the bike wide as well.

Bro I've been riding since I was 5. Much faster bikes and turns, experiences etc. I don't know what I was thinking that day. 😅 I fixated my vision on them for sure instead of where I was going. We're good though. 🤙

I suggest not going on group rides when you're an amateur rider. Take an Advanced Rider Course.

Lol thanks. I was somewhere else that day. Been riding for 36 years, competitively, tracks, dirt, street. I'm good. Thanks bud. 🤦‍♂️

True. We do an average of 200 miles per weekend. I appreciate the advice. It's pointed in the right direction here but I know you mean well. You'd normally be correct. Few people can catch me on the street or track. Just an off day. 🤙
