Of course, it's highly comparable to Nazi crimes, but all this "rewiring" in "re-education" prison camps is in fact genuine communist politics, right from the beginning after Lenin's Red October "revolution" (actually just a putsch). Please notice, these communist crimes started at a time when the Nazis didn't even exist and Hitler was still an unknown low-ranking soldier in the war with France. It shows that fascism was a derivative of communist ideology and methods. Mussolini started his political career in the Socialist Party of Italy, until he "improved" their politics in order to raise their effiency.

I have lived in 4 east Asian nations for 36 years and speak 3 languages. I constantly see newly arrived foreigners who know nothing of the local languages, culture and systems think they have found utopia - a faultless nation and people. They will compare their home countries with exaggerated negativity to the heaven they perceive in the Asian nation. I even know of one Canadian who would get on his knees and bow before random locals thanking them for allowing him to live in heaven and saving him from the "hell" of Canada. At times I have told them that everything is quite the opposite of what they think. Often they will attack me saying I'm just a bitter and negative person critical of everything. One thing I have noticed is that many of these foreigners are fleeing personal problems in their home countries. But in time reality inevitably comes down crashing on them. They return to their home countries disappointed, broken and bitter people. That is what happened to the Canadian. I also knew a Dutchman, age 50+, who came with his life's savings including a large inheritance from parents lose it all within 3 years, his Embassy had to repatriate him and he now lives in some kind of welfare bunk house back in the Neatherlands. @@jonathanlee5520 Well, Trump gives the benefit of the doubt to Russia because he admires strongman leaders like Putin, but there are opposition politicians who understand that global corporations want access to markets in China to sell their products. China is a much, much; much, much MUCH more threatening adversary of the West than the USSR (edit: and Russian Federation) ever was for this simple reason: the Chinese economy is large enough to necessitate that foreign companies seek growth through operating in China's rapidly developing markets. That's why it's a really big f*cking deal when politicians in the West act like China is more or less a country run by a respectable, legitimate government who isn't constantly behaving in parasitic ways. Russia/USSR neither achieved this level of wealth that we see in China, nor did they have over a billion people striving to engage in the largest consumer markets in the world. At first it was the West using Chinese labor and industry, and now there's enough wealth that demand for BMWs and iPhones has created this entanglement. Pretty bad when you consider these corporations have a much bigger megaphone than the people. People have to organize in large numbers in order to ever affect policy.. so yeah. It's not great Edit2: the implication of this is that BMW will do whatever it must to protect its access to Chinese markets. China is their ticket to growth, just as it is for many Western companies. It's a conflict of interest. Theyre leveraged by this relationship, and the CCP uses this. Blizzard silencing the Hong Kong protest supporter who won a tournament. The NBA's players spoke out in support of Hong Kong's sovereignty, but the CCP started pulling NBA games from TV and merchandise off shelves. Now they're silent. You get the picture by now..

Many people are either ignorant or stupid and very uneducated, especially those that believe they are educated because they went to some "prestigious" university. Parents try to raise their kids right and then pay thousands of dollars to send them to a university because they've been told that is what is best for them where they are indoctrinated and brainwashed. These kids then turn into adults that believe you should think only how your government wants you to think. There is little hope for them from that point on. Communism wasn't defeated, it just realized a better way to take over the world. That way was to take over education and entertainment. From there they took over government. We are witnessing the rise of a new breed of communism now that they've effectively taken over every area of life, and it will be unlike anything we have ever seen before. Hey Winston, just wanted to point out something very interesting that you touched on for just a brief second in this video. You mentioned the local video sharing platforms in China and how it is difficult as a foreigner to create profiles on them due to their being certain requirements such as an ID card etc. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this before and would be extremely interested in a video discussing the way social media works in China, it seems very foreign to me as a westerner that an ID card would be used online considering in the West the majority of people are trying to be anonymous when posting online. The implications are obvious since the CCP tracks everything, but I’d be interested in what other things they use to limit and track individuals through their social media accounts. Love the longer videos btw, thank you!
@mandyc.84363 жыл бұрын
In China, a lot of their social media require users to use their real names and phone numbers and ID# to sign on. My friend wants to use douyin (China tiktok) but she can't because she doesn't have a Chinese number to get authenticated. I think it's relatively new practice since Xi came into power. I was able to get Weibo and WeChat with just an email address years ago. But yeah, because of the practice, people can fairly easily report others to the authorities for posting stuff and it definitely promotes self-censorship.

Having watched alot of videos from that jason guy, it conditioned me(for a while) to think the US is all about some collapsing bridges, the dirty nyc metro station and so on... And then I started watching more videos about the US and realized it wasn't and made me better understand why these specific bridges collapsed, why the nyc metro station is dirty because the US actually TALKS about their shortcomings and how/what it'd cost to fix them. Then I started watching channels like yours about China and learned about the Tofu dreg projects thing, their pollution problems, their homelessness problem(those pro CCP channels claim there are none in China). So Thanks so much for your job and I hope you keep doing it for those of us who are interested in knowing the TRUTH.

Funny, I never hear China advocate for the extradition of these hate mongers like the West is with Julian Assange, free press affiliate. That leads me to 2 conclusions: 1) that China has a better grasp of Freedom of Speech than governments in the West, 2) or that China has much better manners & a more pragmatic approach to politics.

Thanks for taking the time to explain all this. This video was very helpful in explaining this phenomenon. Your insights are invaluable, and your tone and approach is fair and appropriate for such a difficult topic. The last time I visited China was in 1989 when studying at Shanghai East Normal University-a time when the country seemed like it might open up before the government crushed the life out of the democracy movement. Our group went on many day trips that were clearly set up for us to see. Obviously, there is nothing new about this. You break this topic down with fairness and integrity and I appreciate the effort you put into your work. Your comment about learning the language to truly understand the culture is spot on.

@dhwang9603 жыл бұрын
The CCP accounts 10% of the population, do you believe the saying of love Chinese people and hate only CCP? Yes those are CCP's propaganda. That what local government do in China. GDP growth and lift people of welfare is the only criteria for them to get promoted. So the local officials spend all the effort to get their city or production exposed. What's wrong with that kind of propaganda? Maybe you just love those fancy promise from your officials.
@TheWoodyWoodsworth3 жыл бұрын
@@dhwang960 Yeah, it is a really complicated issue. I feel for those smaller politicians who are really trying to help the people in their communities. I honestly don't know how to support those communities financially without the help of the CCP. I wouldn't say the average people are trying to promote "propaganda." I agree that they are promoting their community for economic reasons. (Which is good) The problem is that Barrett and Jayoe know they are promoting the CCP agenda themselves. Unless they are wholeheartedly agree with the CCP and believe everything they are saying, then they are liars and sellouts. Reporting honestly is the best way to help the Chinese people in the long run. Self-censoring because the CCP is sponsoring your videos is embarrassing and sad though.
@dhwang9603 жыл бұрын
@@TheWoodyWoodsworth I think they are trying their best to report honestly about China. But if you want to see them criticize CCP, that won't happen if they are in China. CCP only allows CCP to criticize CCP, like those we can read and see in our news. If anyone can criticize CCP in public, CCP will lost trust and all things will be delayed and cause lots of chaos. I not pro CCP, but Western democracy is like the person who speak more and do less wins, like Taiwan and Brazil, their economy is standstill and favor rate for their leader peaked again and again. I don't like that. Again, not criticizing CCP doesn't necessarily mean lies.
@TheWoodyWoodsworth3 жыл бұрын
@@dhwang960 Yeah that makes sense. I think they just lack a lot of integrity. If they actually reflected on themselves they would see that they are contributing to something more nefarious. Serpentza exposes in this video that they are in fact being sponsored by propaganda branches of the CCP. Since this is true, (and from comments made from Barrett about Xinjiang camps) they are willingly supporting and approving of a government that does terrible things. I'm not saying the CCP is 100% corrupt and evil, but they do get away with a lot of terrible crimes. I am also not saying Western Democracies are perfect; I acknowledge the flaws and problems. I don't think Barrett and Jayoe do that for China. They tend to justify the garbage the government does (re-watch 14:40). I think they're just blinded by their paycheck and the fact that being shills for the government can benefit them a lot in China. So, maybe they're not "lying", but their integrity is gone.
