Beef also mentioned in his last video that he was having someone help build the actual Arena for the game. An HQ could be to help build that as well. Help with redstone to make a scoreboard, maybe a card shuffler/dealer, sound effects as cards are played, etc. There's a lot more work to do after the cards are done.

SUGGESTION: While using diamonds as a reward for quests is a good idea to revitalize the economy, I think Hermits would be even more excited to receive some sort of prize that indicates ✨prestige!✨ As we've seen with The Button a few seasons back, collectables and fancy titles seem to be a big hit!

as someone who works in government, your server quest system is very impressive! the premise is solid, the execution is well thought out, and you've put so much effort into making the user experience intuitive. This is truly incredible. However, I think the structure is certainly likely to lead to some Hermits (Grian) not fully following the system, so I'd recommend leaving him some personal "Chaos Quests" so you can redirect his mischief in a an entertaining way.

I think it would probably keep the quests running smoothly if you added the quest of "Refill X Floor server quests" as a daily quest - I think we've all seen from the server shops that its hard for a single hermit to maintain stocks of a popular shop daily especially when they have big builds to complete, and this task is much harder to maintain than a shop.

You just singlehandedly fixed the entire economy while making no one sad about losing their hard-mined diamonds, but also providing a tons of content materials to every Hermits, and making everyone happy. I love the quest system! The only thing that will probably confuse people is the fact that there's two crystals. I understand why, but some of the daily chests have empty columns and a Hermit will probably think that the leftover crystal is still available to take and will put their head in one of the empty columns.

Ren, this was one of the most fantastic episodes I’ve ever seen you put out; I loved every. single. minute of it, and the first 15 min or so especially are worth many a rewatch! The weeks-worth of effort you and your team put in really shows. Well done!! :-D A suggestion for his Highness, if your (totally) loyal subject may have the king’s ear (eye?) for a little while: if you can, try and persuade both Grian and Doc to become members of your court. My spies have informed me that Grian badly wants to be a loyalist, O king, but he might need a little, uhm…"help" to do so. Perhaps offering him (sans audition) a knighthood at your square table and a position of responsibility to assist you with ruling would be just the “help” he needs… Doc will be harder to persuade, but fear not, O king! I have a proposal: don’t simply make him a knight; make him a mighty *count* or *duke!* And offer him this deal: he may keep his “building blocks” for his perimeter, still participate in quests, have a seat at your table, AND have the ear of the king whenever he needs royal assistance (How generous of you!). This is all in exchange for two things: 1) A tiny (oh so tiny!) tribute of farmed items from his perimeter, and 2) the promise to come to your aid whenever you call upon him, in whatever way you ask, and with whatever crazy Redstone contraption you ask for. He would be an invaluable asset to have in any future wars, should one break out... don’t you think? And no, having the two most rebellious, anti-authoritarian hermits on the server working directly under you, King Rendog, will never, ever backfire. No no no…after all, historic feudal kings never had to worry about ambitious or discontented vassals suddenly rebelling against them or trying to seize the throne for themselves…right? *Right?* Edit: Fixed a typo

...daily burn a stack of diorite? Why?! I hate how much hate diorite gets. It may sound odd, but diorite is the reason I fell in love playing Minecraft. It was my first time playing about a year and a half ago, and I made a farm, and was already like..."but why am I doing this", then I started looking into what the other blocks could do and made a wall of diorite by accident (I did not know how to use the recipe book just yet... literally total noob). and I loved how cute the little white wall around my wheat farm looked and realized that feeling of when you do something for the aesthetic of how it looks... I wanted to chase that feeling over and over again. So I love diorite. Yes there are better blocks to be sure out there, but I will never forget the first time I made something look pretty.

It’s a nod to Iskall. Besides, it’s impossible to ever run out of diorite since you can craft it and the MC world is functionally unlimited in a series of hermitcraft. Not a big deal at all.

The key to a successful reign is being able to delegate authority. Assemble a small council who can each be in charge of a specific department according to their skillsets who all report back to you to run the kingdom. You're only as strong as the people you depend on so make them reliable and trustworthy. And if you're worried someone might emerge as a potential rival, offer them an incentive to join you instead for mutual advantage.

I’m really impressed, Ren. This is going to revolutionize the server. I’ve branched out into watching Empires SMP and I really like how each Empire has exports only they are allowed to sell. It makes the server feel much more connected as everyone must collab with everyone to get resources. I felt like Empires was leaving HC slightly in the dust with that as I’d gotten so bored of “rich hermits” and “poor hermits” and failing shops because several players will make every single farm for everything and then never contribute to the economy. These server quests, especially with how diverse the categories are, breathes much needed new life into HC. Well done, Ren. I can’t wait for Iskall to come back from his break to become a part of the King’s Court. I have severely missed you and Iskall palling around. These quests will also help any hermit who has trouble with coming up with ideas for a new episode or if they wish to take a break from the grind of building their main projects. I also love that no hermit has to go mining for diamonds anymore if they don’t want to. It’ll be easier to make some pocket money for spending in the shopping district while they take on a task to improve the server.

@@rendog lol half of Cubs might be a slight over estimation after doing the math but he def has the most diamonds. He has 2266 diamonds, Grian has 861 ores. So Grian would have to get 7.2 diamonds per ore just to break even.

Quick question about the server quest system: You said group quests were allowed, but if a quest is done as a group, who puts their head into the slot? Does only one person put their head in, or do they all need to? If only one person puts their head into the slot but the quest is done as a group, in the case of, for example, a weekly quest, does that mean hermits that do not have their head specifically listed are allowed to do another quest and put their head there? This may allow for extra chances to earn (lower amounts) of diamonds (because the prize is split), but I wasn’t certain exactly how this might work. Thank you so much for the video; the dungeon is beautiful and your hard work is very appreciated!

I really like the amount of thought that has gone into 'making the system as intuitive as possible'. So often administrators of these kind of systems say 'if someone messes up, it's their fault' - but if people have trouble understanding your system, that is absolutely a flaw of your system - even if that trouble was 'there's too much text to read :('.

4:16 AHA! Math says otherwise here! But of course, props to Grian. However, the person who threw the most Diamond/Diamond ores on the pit is actually Cub! You see, it may look like Cub has less stacks. But he has stacks of *diamond blocks* , which are worth 9 diamonds per block (as we all know). Whilst a stack of diamond ore (the ones Grian threw) are worth, rounding up with fortune 3, around 3 diamonds for each block. So, assuming already that we’d have advantage in luck when mining Grian’s ores, they’d still be worth only 1/3 of Cub’s diamond blocks. In other words, we’d need 3 Grian ores to get the 9 diamonds that one diamond block from Cub gives. You know what this means? This means that in ores, for Grian to have more diamonds than all of Cub’s diamond blocks.. .. he would need to _triple_ the amount of stacks Cub has. Which, clearly, isn’t the case. He doesn’t even have double the amount. You want raw numbers? I’ll tell you how many ores Cub would have, assuming he’d get 3 diamonds from each ore. (He probably got less, so he would have more ores than I’ll say) Grian, for reference, threw in *861 ores* . Cub, however, threw in 696 diamond blocks. That is *2,088 diamond ores* . And that’s still while *giving Grian advantage* . Jeez Cub, this was a lot of mining.

I think a great idea would be to combine the skulk sensors and the music disk mod and record quests that way when hermits get close it either plays a catchy toon or you actually read the quest to them with the mod for music disk

Watch out for Grian, he's literally hanging on by a thread to not try to overthrow you. Also, it's a terrible idea to keep the prize in the bin before you finish a task.
