Bakusaiga is just too powerful and with Sesshomaru using it, no wonder it appeared near the end of the series. Naruku would have been defeated too early.

That’s what I always say. In every situation where Sesshomaru used his tokjin, if he had the Bakusaiga, it would have been over in one swing. Bakusaiga is in a league of its own and in the hands of such a skilled and powerful wielder as Sesshomaru, nothing can stop it.

@@bradyburick1367 yeah, but bakusaiga's energy alone was more than enough since not only it was capable of destroying thousand enemies in one stroke, the energy also infect the damaged flesh and can transmit itself on any undamaged flesh upon contact, which is the reason the sword was Naraku's downfall as he had to rely on regeneration powers (which Bakusaiga was negating) Why do you think Naraku had to kidnapped Rin in the first place? So that Sesshomaru can't use it recklessly

I did feel really bad for Sesshomaru when we find out his father's true intention for tenseiga. It may seem harsh but his father had a plan. Though first hearing it you automatically think he favors Inuyasha. It is true he helps Inuyasha a lot, but he wanted his weakest son to be protected. Inuyasha did grow stronger thanks to Tessiaga. But Toga wanted his eldest who care for no one to have compassion so for Sesshomaru he gave him tough love. But thanks to this tough love he did grew compassionate (mostly for Rin) and now he tolerates his younger brother and he gained a badass sword. An added bonus for Toga was that his sons would not kill each other. Tessiaga will give Inuyasha strength to fend Sesshomaru off and Tenseiga will protect Sesshomaru from Tessiaga's attack.

Sesshomaru kinda forced it, though. I doubt InuYasha would've pursued it had Sesshomaru not used the shard of the mirror demon for the conflict. It means the Meido would be incomplete without Tessaiga nearby, but it's not like the technique was being drawn towards the Tessaiga. Just don't let them touch.

@@VGamingJunkieVT you are right though sesshomaru needed to find out if inuyasha was the true owner of tessiaga once he was satisfy he gave the technique to inuyasha and protected him from naraku backhanded attack afterwards. Sesshomaru is prideful and would not stop until he was satisfy. In a roundabout way this event kinda made the brothers respect each other.

InuYasha didn't want Meido Zangetsuha, Sesshomaru could've just kept them from ever touching. It means he'd need to be near InuYasha for the Meido to be at full strength, but it's not like it would revert to Tessaiga through the air.

Kind of ironic that Fluffy had to lose arm for the final sword which regrew his lost arm. If he didn’t lose that arm, he may not have been defeated to point of retreat, then he wouldn’t have met Rin, and without her, no compassion for him to learn. I don’t know if that was the ultimate test by Toga to see if Fluffy would be worthy, or a troll by Toga, a troll that was essentially went “ son, lose an arm, then get a new sword.”

first off, fantastic video. Sesshomaru is probably THE most bad ass and powerful demon in the show. Like, THIS DUDE COULD KICK YOUR ASS AND CHEW BUBBLE WITH ONE ARM throughout 90% of the series. I was pleased when he got Bakusaiga and also got his arm back.

I really love all of Sesshoumaru's swords, but Tenseiga and Bakusaiga are my definite favorites. Tenseiga because it really helped him to find the compassion he had all along for Rin, which was a very humbling moment for him as well as doing wonders for his character development. Bakusaiga because it definitely proved itself to be a great extension to Sesshoumaru's fantastic skills as a warrior. With that being said, I would like to close this statement by proclaiming, all hail Lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands! May his strength, courage, and badassery live on through the pages of history and time!

Sesshomaru had to earn such a sword by going through the growth he went through on his journey to defeat Naraku with Rin, Jaken and Ah-un traveling with him. And later on Kohaku. He also went through a major growth in character when he went into the underworld to save Rin. And upon realizing that he couldn't revive her Sesshomaru realized something major when he thought this 'Nothing I could have gained was worth losing her. Nothing at all.' Now as someone who had said "I Sesshomaru have no need of such." when his father Toga asked him "Tell me Sesshomaru have you someone to protect?" We see later on in the fight with So'unga that's a bold face lie now when he had those flashbacks of Rin and Jaken with the last one being of Rin yeah no one to protect sure Sesshomaru we believe you not lol. Then fast forward to him trying to save Rin only to find he can't bring her back that shows a more vulnerable side to Sesshomaru he's never shown before or thought to have had. As a character he's shown major character growth throughout the show while still maintaining what makes Sesshomaru Sesshomaru.

InuYasha is, always has been, and always will be my boy, but the award for best character development absolutely goes to Sesshomaru. With Toga's intentions and his knowledge and belief that Sesshomaru didn't need him or his power to become a great demon and would one day surpass him, one could and should argue that he favoured Sesshomaru over InuYasha in as many was as the reverse is true. He had more faith in Sesshomaru and knew he wouldn't need nearly as much help as InuYasha would due to his heritage. I can't wait to see more of him in Yasahime.

Tenseiga and Bakusaiga are my fav. Ooh the day he brought Bakusaiga from his body, I was over joyed. Love Inuyasha but his sword absorbed so many techniques easily. Inuyasha did not really work very hard to get them This made me see it as a sword for the weak.

Inuyasha may acquire new techniques easily, but he has to put in a lot of work to use them, like he had to learn to the the windscar in order to slash thought it which is a important part of being able to you the backlash wave, he had to prove himself to hosanki in order to the the adamant barrage, he had to learn to see demon vortexs to use the dragon scale tesaiga, and finally like shishomaru had to master maido zangetsuha and find his own way of using, you can learn a skill easily mastering it is another story.

By giving each brother these swords, inu no taisho basically ensured they wouldn’t kill each other while using them. Tenseiga couldn’t cut Inuyasha, but it saved Sesshoumaru. Tessaiga would defend Inuyasha from his brother whilst keeping his demon blood under control, and if he were to truly hurt Sesshoumaru, Tenseiga would be there.

To be fair, Sesshomaru is kind of a bastard at first. He flat out despised humans and thought nothing of attempting to kill Kagome, even before she's a threat. When he learns compassion, that's when he's able to find greater strengths that their Father seemed to set up deliberately.

As it comes apparent to see, all of Sesshomaru's weapons are tied to a lesson. The sword left by his father was to teach Sesshomaru the value of life and protecting it, the second one was to teach him to seek the strength of his own. And his final weapon becomes his own legacy made manifest as he finds his strength within, rather than seeking a lost heritage of his dead father. Sesshomaru learned to care for others, to let go of the past, and forge his own future rather than chase after his father's legacy.

Tokijin,Sounga,Tenseiga and Bakutsaiga only one missing was Inuyasha's sword called the Tensaiga but truthfully so Sesshomaru has all the swords for Supreme conquest, He can reclaim Sounga from the pits of hell (Sword of Hell)Tenseiga (Sword of heaven) and Bakutsaiga (Sword of Earth) plus tokijin this was explained in the movie Swordsof an Honorable Ruler.. 🤷‍♂️😉

This may be a minority opinion, but I think Tenseiga is the most powerful sword in the series. Literally any sword can take life in some capacity but tenseiga holds the power to bring life back, which in the grand scheme of things is more impactful.

Though there is one thing that has been bugging me quite a lot: your character. I cannot quite pinpoint exactly what it is... most likely facial feature proportions. Your character comes off a little scary or even a bit insane, purely because of the looks, and it contradicts your calm and intellectual voice. Well, I'm not sure what can be done. Perhaps little tweaks for the face. It just catches me off guard every single time he pops up ahaha Anyway, keep up the great content!

Honestly, I've always found the Tenseiga was the greatest sword. Any sword can take a life, it is the rare blade indeed that can revive from death instead, even with limitations. Sesshomaru had plenty of capability to kill with his bare hands, he needed no sword for that. In the end, that strength manifested itself as his own sword, giving proof to the fact he never needed the Tetsaiga, as Inuyasha did due to his lower strength.

Honestly I didn't notice all the powers related to explosion of the Bakusaiga (despite being in the name). All I remembered was something akin to ‘it looks like an ordinary blade but (1) it cannot break (which means it can cut through anything and you can't take anything off of it) and (2) whatever it cuts cannot be fixed in any way shape or form’, negating the very basis of Naraku.

It always interested me that Tokojin didn't have a sheath and that Sesshomaru didn't let go with Tensiga after Magatsuhi engulfed him. And more interestingly Bakusaiga isn't based on someone's bone or fang, it is generated from Sesshomaru's internal strength and personality.

Both of the brothers, in their ways, have to learn to stop relying on their Father's strength so that they can surpass him. This happens for InuYasha when the Tessaiga is repaired using his own fang (Initially too heavy for him, since he's now relying on his own strength) and subsequently learning the Backlash Wave to obliterating an opponent their Father was barely able to seal and then again when he manages to give the Meido a cutting ability. For Sesshomaru, of course, Bakusaiga.

My complaint is that the limit on the tensagia should be it can't revie someone who died of natural causes. So say old age. This way it can be used multiple times but only on people who are say killed or died of illness. And maybe as an added limit it can't revive someone who died after a certain amount of time.

the wildest part of sesshomaru's last sword that its abilities are far more scarier than his father's (now inuyasha's swords). he could literally wipe something out of EXISTENCE, and not all at once, but in pieces (as we were shown). so he truly had to let go of his obsession w/ his father's strength in order to become stronger, in a literal sense. it makes me so curious of yashahime because i never thought sesshomaru wanted his dad's reign anyway, so when we were told he walked away from it, i'm wondering if that title was meaningless to him anyway, or if we're gonna have another resolution where great power is not worth anything if you're alone in the end.

That's only true with the weapons. Again, we see inuyasha beat him multiple times, and without tokijin or bakusaiga he 100% could not beat moryomaru, naraku, or magatsuhi

@@AxelBeats when it comes to inuyasha, in most of sesshomaru’s fights against him sesshomaru drags out the fight on purpose and that can lead to his downfall but if he had just gone and didn’t hesitate he could’ve easily killed inuyasha. And when I say even without a weapon he’s most strong, I don’t mean sesshomaru with no weapon vs someone with a weapon. I mean sesshomaru with no weapon vs someone with no weapon. I think we can all agree sesshomaru would beat inuyasha. Plus, you might not be able to beat someone but someone else can but that doesn’t necessarily make them stronger than you. When it comes to naraku, sesshomaru couldn’t kill him because of his barrier and sesshomaru couldn’t break the jewel. Only kagome had the power to break the jewel but if sesshomaru fought kagome, sesshomaru would win. idk if kagome’s power of purification is stronger than sesshomaru’s demonic power (probably not) but it takes kagome longer to charge up her strength and shoot an arrow. Sesshomaru could easily finish her off through his speed and how fast he can attack. When it comes to magatsuki I did forget about him. With bakusaiga and tenseiga he can defeat him but not if he has no weapon since he’s a spirit. But idk if magatsuki is strong enough to possess sesshomaru though. Because if his power was strong enough to let tokijin not possess him, idk if magatsuki could. I mean, kohaku was able to snap out of it, but maybe instead of demonic power, you have to have power of purity. But if magatsuki couldn’t possess seshomaru, then neither of them could touch each other so it’s kinda a tie. So idk about magatsuki and I forgot about him in general. So maybe. And if it was no weapon vs no weapon when it comes to naraku and sesshomaru, sesshomaru and many of the other characters could easily kick his butt. I count the jewel as a weapon.

Firstly it's "Swords" not "Sowrds", Secondly I believe that because Sounga can revive the dead in a reanimated state that severing the minions was a surefire way to ensure that the sword couldn't recall Takemaru's soul back from the dead. Tenseiga can bring a person back once, can be used to kill spirits and undead and possess powers of purification, so sesshomaru likely purified Takemaru's soul so the sword would lose it's hold on him. Sounga was wielded by sesshomaru's severed left arm which was attached to Takemaru's body, so severing that made the weapon unable to revive Takemaru.

Most of the information in this video seems accurate, however there is one specific problem. The Tenseiga was not forged from Toga’s fang in the standard sense. The Tenseiga was forged from a shard that broke off of the Tetsusaiga. This is why the Meido Zangetsu Ha was initially used by the Tenseiga when first shown, and why it was transferred back to the Tetsusaiga.

In my opinion the Bakusaiga wins. 1000,s of demons destroyed in one swing with little to no effort and then what ever is destroyed is disintegrated. Plus it’s ability to cut anything.
