I’ve got a college fund going, but beyond that, I’m not sure what else to do. I mean, they’re still young, but I know time flies.

I’ve actually started teaching my kids about investing already. Nothing too complicated, just basics. They’re getting curious, which is good. I’m also thinking of opening a custodial investment account for each of them. Let them start small but learn as they go.

That’s smart! I opened a custodial Roth IRA for my daughter when she started working part-time. She doesn’t fully understand it yet, but I’m making sure she puts something away every paycheck

I like that idea. My son’s been working over the summer, and I think now’s the time to teach him about investing, not just saving. You know, I actually sat down with my advisor recently, and he gave me a ton of tips on how to set up a solid portfolio for them.
@Churchillhump2268Ай бұрын
Wait, so you're doing full-on portfolio management for your kids? That sounds intense!
@Larry1-pl2wqАй бұрын
It’s not as complex as it sounds. My advisor, Joseph Nick Cahill, has been a huge help. He’s all about teaching financial literacy and setting things up early. He helped me put together a simple plan that’ll grow over time without being overwhelming. It’s like a hands-on lesson for them

@@wifeybaby4001 Because sometimes if the parents separate One or both parents end up screwing up their credit and taking their kids down with them.

@@Jr2728 Makes sense... can they or the child take them off the parents CC before it is a mess? Also, I think you set a limit on the kids CC which I would highly recommend for responsible parents.

Agree with comments. Only set the kid up with a credit card if it is put under a parent who is responsible with money... In our case, it is daddy 😅. My kid is already making more than I do with investing, so I think it is great!

I am 22 years old and lost my dad about half a year ago and I am going to receive some money soon. Would it be smart to grow my money in stocks for a few years while I am in college and then invest in rental properties afterwards, or should I go for real estate investing first?

The investments I like to deal with are the ones that have a high ROI, these truly help me feel like I'm getting the best from my investment. Perhaps you should discuss with a financial advisor, that helps too.
@Ballesteros-d2 ай бұрын
I agree, the role of the advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I'm 60 and newly retired with about $650k in retirement funds, quite a little amount compared to my investment portfolio. You just have to do due diligence in picking the right advisor.

Katherine Nance Dietz is the licensed advisor I use. Just google the name and you'd find basic info. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.

I'm almost 50 and am disabled and live on 2K per month..I also have a 16 yo daughter. We have NO family or friends to help. Is there a way I can put a few dollar each month into a fund for my daughter that the gvt can't get?
@davidsonnguyen3827 күн бұрын
Your not in a financial situation that you can impact anything at this point in time. Sustain financial balance would be my recommendation. -Dont accrue any credit debt. -Have a 3-6 emergency fund. -invest your money wisely in a steady ROI / low risk. Your daughter will have to work and earn her keep. Utilize all the possible scholarships and government assistance possible. Be direct and deliberate about her major / certification goal.

What do you think about a UGMA/UTMA account?
@sherrierodelander79073 ай бұрын
Custodial IRA: done 529: done Authorized user: no, cause they are gonna use cash and won’t buy a home until mid 20’s which gives them the opportunity to build their credit on their own. This may be the best option for most but doesn’t align with our family values. All great info!!!

You’re probably not going to get around to reading this, but I think I have your 25 million dollar idea: Go back to your homeland. No, seriously. I’m not trolling you. Have your research team look into it. There are OVER 25 million women that are looking for your content. Here’s the plan: Find the cheapest way to print your paperback book. Advertise it for free in that foreign country. Add just add $1-$2 dollars more than the shipping cost. And now wait. 2nd plan: book a consultation with Alex Hormozi or Codie Sanchez.
