This guy is AMAZING! I've only been aware of him (on KZbin) for about two weeks. I can't watch enough. His empathy, is so wide, like it covers every area no matter what area he's speaking on. WOW! What a teacher. The Knowledge he shares is so "usable" right here, right now. I just sent this video to my 22 year old grandson :-)? Thank You Behind the Brand. Thank You Seth Godin.

And one of the reason is to do Seth Godin "This is Marketing Seminar" because I used to study MARKETING and I love the concept I read on the book too Seth Godin is the man who never talk to me about "money focus" but instead he motivated us to bring the work who matter to people who care enough. Even if you're already seen/read/heard many hours of Seth Godin or Bryan Elliott, this one is a special gem. So candid, so honest. It's like watching expert craftsmen at work -- fascinating in ways that go beyond just what they're doing. It's how they do it, the human joy of doing it. And like Bryan, I only wish I'd found Seth Godin earlier.

I could not believe I just now found him. I have heard of his name quite spoken in others, and I have watched other motivational speakers, but somehow, Seth said something in " Your Job is to make Art - Seth Godin Crafts and Commerce 2017" and what he said completely just change my perspective about what I do. I am an artist and although I have just been creating and doing few shows or exhibits, there are ideas that I have that I want to present to the world in moving my craft forward and what he said in that video has put my mind in a whole new different level about how to put my art into a marketing level and how I feel I can contribute to the world. Like he said, we have the goods and skill, though this part of the video explain even further. I guess there is something in Seth that speaks about compassion for people like me who wants to make a difference and to make the world a better place but what to do next, I am at total loss. And I have to admit that now, that I was scared to move because of being criticized or whatever reasons, but I also know that I have something to offer and it may be able to help someone out there who feels the same way as I did...thanks for this share. This really captivated me and caught my attention. I feel so much better that there are things and situations about this interview that speaks to the core of the heart and it is natural.

I liked how you shared something of yourself, your own insecurities and self doubts made the conversation more interesting because you created the environment that made us all aware that we have our own self doubts, and insecurities and yet if we step up we can make our own magic, make an impact in our own environment. Seth Godin is inspirational, as always. As a Star Wars fan, I do want to push back slightly on the interpretation of Yoda's "do or do not" wisdom. I think of it more as "don't be wishy-washy." In other words, if you want something, put your full effort into it, which is pretty much in alignment with Seth's advice. Great talk, though! :)

Thanks so much for this. I'd love to hear Seth talking more about 'soft skills.' As an educator, it's a buzz-word that I've heard a lot, but it never sat well with me. Besides being so informal, which I love, there's so much good stuff in this vid. Just to pick one the last points about giving, I've benefitted from the doing the same in two main, weird, ways. First, by helping I come accross amazing skills. Once I tried to help a charity with a website, the contact from there was rude, told me to go away, even though I helped him before. In exchange, he accidentally pushed me into a new tech, in those days, Wordpress. I made a lot of cool stuff with it and money. The second, maybe more important way, is I have tonnes more confidence, positivity, creativity and mental toughness than hardly anyone else I know. It should be said that I make it a regular part of my week to be doing stuff for other people - not showing off, just trying to add value to this great interview.

I thought he was a great interviewer and he asked all the right questions. For example I too thought there was a paradox when Seth says we should ship before perfection, and at the same time you should only launch a product when it’s perfect.
