@fivefluffyclouds3 жыл бұрын
Yet another time I have watched and enjoyed a Seth Godin video. However, I now understand him from a much broader viewpoint. To state that no one is, nor has been an authentic person in the societies born of our present day illuminates my understanding of Mr. Godin. To be born and cultivated into our world through the culture in which he has been is both, quite the privileged luxury and the ideological dream mentality a vast majority of our future population can only dream to be a part of. I fully comprehend your concept good sir but I am, and I've known quite a few who also are, quite authentic. If you'd ever like to meet someone who's authentic... I'm sure you May once again, as I'm sure you have a numerable times, elevate yourself just a bit more tomorrow than you are today. Comprehending your points of view as opposed to realizing situational dichotomies as they exist when they occuris truly the mark of an authentic man as opposed to a society bread.. ahh I can't think of the word.. Okay yeah cynic as you currently find your viewpoint centered completely in. It would be nice to see that you're that through, and go back when new comments are made, to old videos of yours and then respond. For as I am learning a lot from you in your videos I still am in the present state quite authentic and have to reflect in order to go through this transformation of being more of a participant in our society than just a human within it.

At 14:05 he nails it. With more and more people working from in this new era of Covid-business ... he spoke this 4 years earlier. By the way how long before this civil war in America comes to an End ?
@fivefluffyclouds3 жыл бұрын
I suppose that would depend on to whom you're addressing your civil war quandary; The majority of America's population is not, nor ever has been participating in their staged idea of US A'll having a civil war. Over time and due to their highly staged activities however, that has not been the narrative for some who have bought into it hook line and sinker.

It would be great to get the story on how Seth started his permission marketing before people knew he existed. Presumably you have to start your permission based marketing by actually interrupting someone and asking them if they will give you permission. Does that sound right?
@alexarohn7 жыл бұрын
Seth addresses this in other interviews and blogs, i think he covers it in his Permission Marketing book as well. When you first start out you give it away (to 10 friends or some people you know). Your first book, or your ideas, or something--just give it away. If it's great, people will share it, and this is what starts your momentum. If it's great, they come to your website, look you up, sign up for your email (the permission piece). If nobody shares, reformulate your ideas and try again. The concept is about generosity, you don't ask or interrupt you just put yourself out there without needing anything in return.
@betarakhmadi5547 жыл бұрын
I think it is a fine art of asking permission. But I get what Draw In Customers' point, that in a lot of cases, marketers are blatantly bombarding people with permission requests to send them daily or weekly email notifications about new posts etc, with the annoying pop-ups. This pop-up should only appear once and if a device opens that website again, then there should be no pop-ups, because the server can identify this device via cookies. This way the permission based marketing can be implemented more gracefully and without creating annoyances.

I strongly disagree that dunking a basketball is a talent...If you train everyday for five years I'm pretty sure you'd be able to do it as well Seth...train your legs and shoot a few basketballs and you'll see. Of course for someone who has never done any kind of sports in his life this is hard to believe...heart surgery is a skill you're right, but having a steady hand is something you're born with.
