I always liked the idea of seasonal goals rather than yearly goals. My tiny monkey brain can understand a season, but a year can be overwhelming and daunting.

I’ve seen a few people say they’re going to split the year into 3 month blocks! That definitely feels more manageable 🤌

I completely agree with doing with doing something physical yet still creative when your main medium is digital. It can be so liberating and gives you a lot of dimension in a satisfying way.

Planing saves my live for real. Everything can change on the spot, but have a strong foundation that I can grab on, helps me not to burnout.

Question: Is there a reason why you've decided to animate in Blender now? Isn't it heavy?

I’ve had a lot of requests for tutorials and my opinion on it - plus I want to eventually mix 2D and 3D. The pc I built is pretty powerful so it can handle blender easily :)

👋 I love your videos so much. After watching this one, I also love your attitude. It isn't easy to plan, replan, stick to a schedule, etc, etc, and I do it (probably quite badly) with four kids as well 😂🤣 Trust me, you seem sorted, so don't fall down the rabbit hole of overthinking it, if that makes sense? A change doesn't have to be a drastic one. It can be as simple as a ten or twenty minute walk added to a day. If you ever want to chat about writing, let me know. If you ever want to join forces and make amazing animations based on my books, let me know 😂🤭 (Hey, I can't help it, you have a force of gravity and I am powerless. Thank you so much! so glad you're enjoying the videos 👍 Getting any task finished is a miracle in my opinion so I think we're doing pretty well 🤣 Would love to add 'no overthinking' to my goals for this year but that's not realistic! I was thinking about a fun challenge later this year where I'd take submissions on what to animate/how I'd approach working on certain projects - will reach out if the stars align and my schedule calms down!

@@kdsketchI'm working on one of my characters now, while your 'tearful eyes' tutorial is on. I'm between Blender and Moho. I'm also still learning both, so fun times. (Sarcasm alert!) 😂😂 Is the 1 blink, then 2 blink thing, you know, a 'thing'? (What a strange sentence, even for an author haha!) I thought that as well a few months ago and put it in a Moho animation, before you said it 🤔 Okay, back to it. Thanks again for putting the tutorials out there, you have a sparkly new fanboy here, and I'm here to stay 😂
