What great and affordable ideas! t my local hardware store they sell flannel backed vinyl by the meter (or by the yard if you still use the apothecary system) that will work great to cover the nonslippery surfaces! Thanks for the ideas!!! If your hands are arthritic like mine those quilt halos take the stress off them!

I used some basic pine timberboard and adjustable height kitchen cabinet legs to create a custom extension table. The pine is lighter than MDF. The legs slot in to sockets screwed to the under side of the pine board, so can be removed when I need to store the table.

Great ideas, I do use my ironing board, and a TV tray.

I also use my irons board back behind machine and table to keep weight of quilt from pulling down

Great idea about adding a table or cabinet to add extra surface for quilting, thank you Laura. Already use a box to fill the gap behind my machine on my Horn sewing cabinet and it works a treat.. love watching your videos 🙂

What’s the pattern for the black and brown quilt used in the demonstration? Thanks for all the information. I just started making quilts, just finished my first top and decided to do simple straight line quilting.
