While I am not in love with the song itself, even in this arrangement, you and your voice can turn any song into gold and, well, you did it here as well. I am known for predominantly listening to female vocals and harmonies on KZbin (as can be seen from my "Favorites" and "Favorite Channels" LOL), but you are one of the BIG exceptions, where I am in love with a male voice and what it can do. I wish I could steal your voice - then I'd just quit my job and spend the rest of my life singing :P

Every single chord from 2:20 until the end makes every hair on my body stand up. That has to be the most epic tag in the history of barbershop.
@sgtsonny10 жыл бұрын
Well it isn't very classic barbershop, maybe that's why you liked it so much? You don't expect those kind of chords in a barbershop song :D. I completely agree man. Great arrangement! Thanks a lot for stopping by.
@PockASqueeno10 жыл бұрын
True...it is a bit more "poppy." If I had to stick to pure barbershop harmony, I'd have to say the best tag is "I'll be Seeing You." My barbershop chorus is singing it. You should try that one and upload it.
@sgtsonny11 жыл бұрын
Actually, as you can read in the description, the original is by Steve Young, but it was made famous by the Eagles. Forefront sings a full a cappella version of it. Your world isn't upside down :). Thanks for stopping by!

There are stars In the Southern sky Southward as you go There is moonlight And moss in the trees Down the Seven Bridges Road Now I have loved you like a baby Like some lonesome child And I have loved you in a tame way And I have loved you wild Sometimes there's a part of me Has to turn form here and go Running like a child from these warm stars Down the Seven Bridges Road There are stars in the Southern sky And if ever you decide You should go There is a taste of time sweetened honey Down the Seven Bridges Road

16 years of EHB or 16 brigades over the course of a few years? Wow, in either case! Impressive! I'll keep track of where the EHB will be for my next trip to the UK. I'm not sure when that'll be but it's possible that I could combine both in the same trip.
@sgtsonny9 жыл бұрын
Steve Ossias Woops, a little misunderstanding. It's only the second EHB ever, but it's the EHB of 2016, hence the name EHB16. The EHB will again be held in Berlin. It would be awesome if you could combine both :). Take care, Steve!
@alexanderkoller9 жыл бұрын
+Steve Ossias Hi! Are you the same Steve Ossias who took me under your wing when I sang with the Big Apple Chorus in 2006? I'm one of the main organizers of the EHB, and I would be absolutely thrilled if you came to Berlin next June. What a coincidence. :D
@OssMan259 жыл бұрын
+alexanderkoller Yes, Alexander, one and the same! What a coincidence, indeed! Thanks so much for the invitation for EHB16 but, as much as I'd love to make that one I don't see a trip in our plans for next year. Much going on and have to put off traveling next year except for my trip to California for my parents' 70th-anniversary celebration that my siblings and I will be throwing for them. Be well and ring some chords for me in June!

This is THE BEST version of this song I've every heard! Sonny, you nailed this and made the tight chording ring like MAD! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this arrangement, the rubs, the tension chords, then the resolve that is so sweet! Do you know if there is a womens' voicing of this? I am part of a 4 part a cappella Sweet Adelines quartet, and I MUST do this arrangement!!
@sgtsonny7 жыл бұрын
Wow, did I not write back to you? That's so weird. I probably didn't get a notification of this, because I make a point of it to respond to every comment. I don't think there is a women's version of this. But I'm sure the arranger, Jeremey Johnson, might be able to help you out!
