It's called plot armor. If the threat was that dire, it certainly warranted the kill setting, which would resolve the matter. So of course they use stun, even though it's demonstrably ineffective (inexplicably). They do this because they weren't creative enough to make the story work if they didn't. This sort of bad writing, along with the endless spew of technobabble, was what caused me to stop watching Voyager.
@FFKonoko4 жыл бұрын
@@Hibernicus1968 the problem was that they wrote to reach a goal. They came up with an idea then fudged things to get to it. Braxton was right, his job would have been much less complicated without Janeway meddling and turning every issue into something far worse. Even if murdering them all was a bit too much, it could be explained with his mental state after living for years in the 20th century. I lived there, it was not good for my mind.

There was a party where nine 7 of 9s were invited, but sadly, only seven of those ever showed up. These were the other two.

I always thought they did her a disservice by putting her in that cat suit. She looked way better and more imposing in a uniform. Hell, even the Marquis got uniforms. Why not her? Troi got the same treatment in TNG and she looked better in a uniform also. Sign of the times I guess.

Just as in cop movies, any policeman can immediately say what direction the perpetrator was escaping, even inside a warehouse in an unknown town at night they can say for sure "the suspect is heading east".

It was stated earlier in the episode from Janeway herself she spent some considerable amount of time studying the schematics before she even step foot inside.

SOP for the military - Non-security personnel hits the deck so security personnel has clear shots and space to pursue. Think Chekov running around on the U.S.S. Enterprise in ST IV

But who did more geeks love, Uhura in TOS, or Seven? I have reason to believe Uhura will forever hold 1st place, at her time that uniform skirt was not just daring, it was extreme, and in addition being a black female bridge officer... Shockwaves.
