I started following 7 early this year when the tournaments were in Vancouver and LA. I did enjoy the games and it was so refreshing to watch so many countries that we do not see in 15! We need more stars like DuPont to promote Rugby 7 and make it a more universal game!

South Africa getting a medal after our 7s season is wild. My take away is if France "had to win it", why didn't they just give them the gold and then let everyone else play for silver and bronze. They certainly got all the calls 😅 wanted Fiji to take it home.

I have it on good authority(my Grandmother) that rugby sevens is infinitely superior to 15 aside rugby because its easier to stay awake during sevens then it is throughout 15s😂😂

Sincere congrats to the Teams playing for Medals! Clearly the best of the lot are there! Argentina was disappointing, really. They never displayed much of their talent and magic. But they are still one of the best teams, anywhere and any time! The Olympics are cruel and brutal. One mistake and your chances are almost gone. Like rowing at Henley!

Reading some of the comments can see how salty SA supporters get. Bottom line is blitzboks didn't deserve to be there pity they beat NZ in the quarters after being given a second chance for being the best losers! Fiji all the way

Dupont was bent over into the tackle zone as he was still getting his feet behind it. Marginal call but I'd lean towards saying it was correct. Of course, people will see it which ever way their preconceptions lead them. Who wants to be a ref and have to make a call that it that close? France showed out to be the better team by the end of the match. I wonder it the Australians could have made a match of it in the second half against Fiji if they hadn't dropped the kick-offs. They missed a couple of tackles, too, so probably not. Outclassed by such a good performance from Fiji. The gold medal match should be good either way.

This match was fixed clear and simple, WRugby hate Boks and made sure tgrough their crooked officials. They couldnt afford another French loss at the hands of SA in Fance. DONT TELL ME RUGBY IS CLEAN AND ONLY SOCCER CRICKET AND OTHERS ARE CORRUPT. FOLLOW THE MONEY, CHECK REFS ACC nr. Its sick. Asa WR god came on, official changed into a French fan.
