Fantastic trousers, love the swimsuit fabric too. I’ve just bought some cheap swimsuit fabric from fabricland to try swimwear again just haven’t found the perfect pattern for me yet! The two I’ve made before I’ve used the mesh to fully line.

Ruan, I HAVE JUST FOUND YOU (and your Northern Sewl Sisters) and have binged! Guess what, you have sent this 68 year old WAY out of her comfort zone and have purchased leopard print 'snuggly' fabric (20% off) AND the Brooklyn Top patten by StyleArc (I KNOW, HOW MAD IS THAT)...Love the inspiration you promote! So, if any of you fans out there have made the top, and have any tips? Just to prove how outrageous the fabric is, another customer in the shop said "what are you going as"😂😂😂. Pretty blouse on you Ruan. Hope you have a wonderful time in Germany even though you're working. Will be fun to see what swimsuit pattern you come up with and how it goes. Your trousers look absolutely gorgeous on you. How thrilling to have such a successful first go at it! I do have some Cashmerette wide leg trousers cut out for several months in cherry fabric of all things ( talk about going outside my comfort zone) but I haven't sewn them up yet. Quite a 70s vibe so could be fun. Seeing yours is encouraging and he he I thought if they don't work out ( it's cotton) I will chop it up for quilting fabric. 🤣I'm hoping they work though and as you say practice, practice. xx Karen

Wonderful job on the pants!!! I love the Peppermint WideLegs pattern! I’ve made one and I have another cut out. Just make sure to set your printer correctly when printing off. Somehow my printer needed adjusted for the correct setting on this pattern.

Ah thank you so much for the mention, yes my poor overlocker was in an exhausted heap at the end of the sewing social after all the Tulia Tees I put through it 🫣😂. Great idea to leave the bottom hem raw as it’s a lot of hemming for me otherwise 😬. Love the wide leg pants too, thanks for the talk through, I’ve had the pattern printed since sewfrugal 22, really need to have a go at some point! 🥰

The customer service from them was amazing btw, I can thoroughly recommend them 👍🏻

Thanks for lots of great video content. Note that powermesh and power net are not the same thing. Powermesh is quite stable and is used for support (shelf bra) or hold (I.e inside a yoga waistband).

The wide leg trousers look great on you! Loving the swimwear fabrics. I would like to make my own, because I find it really hard to find RTW ones that suit me. It seems like it's either skimpy bikinis for teenagers or full on granny tents in the shops where I live. I love the top on you.Your trousers also look brilliant. I am unable to afford the lights so my son bought daylight light bulbs.They are the same price as normal but instead of a yellow light they are bright white. It’s a cutting mat that has been cut down to size. I use it to cut my patterns out using a rotary cutter 😊
