As a woman I completely agree; thanks for mentioning how it's a vulnerable time for us, which is something I think most guys don't realise. At that time of month we're already feeling emotional, bloated, and unattractive when it's that time of month - a guy acting like it's gross just makes that even worse. It's a total confidence and mood killer, not just at the time, but later too. Guys, if that's your attitude every time she wants sex during her period, that's a great way to destroy your sex life altogether. My gf & I have/enjoy period sex. It’s not preferred in any way, but it doesn’t discourage us at all. As far as ideas for “prepping the scene”: We have disposable pee-pads for our lil fur babies to go potty inside (those in the medical field call them “chux”). They work great for a number of reasons: 1. They’re designed to be an impermeable barrier catch/absorb fluids. 2. They’re super thin, so using it by itself, you hardly notice it’s there. Buuut, like Caitlin mentioned, her skin is really sensitive on her period, so we prefer to cover it w/ one of a few select towels we have that are both really soft & dark in color… i.e. brick red (duh), navy blue, forest green. 3. As the name implies, they’re disposable! No fuss + No muss = More Lust 😉 Aside from that (again, as Caitlin mentioned), we have a couple wash cloths standing by… just to catch anything that might, umm dribble, while moving between the bed & the shower lol. We’ve also found that both positions & room temp are important… We almost always have the ceiling fan on, but unless it’s 90° outside, it can get a lil chilly when your naked, especially on parts of your body that are… um, moist…. So, we make sure to turn the fan down or off. As far as positions… we obvi don’t mind the blood, but we don’t feel the need to roll around in it. So, to keep fluids more controlled we usually stick to things like (forgive my terminology): Side-Doggy (on her side, one knee partially tucked, he’s on top, straddles her straight leg), but mostly any position on the edge of the bed, but her favorite edge of the bed position is a variation of doggy, where her legs are together, semi-straight, but relaxed & resting towards the floor; he straddles her from behind, enters her at about 45°, thus using the pressure of her legs to make him ‘feel’ bigger & the angle allows great stimulation to the G-spot/anterior wall. Plus, the guy can rest his weight/keep his balance leaning against the side of the bed, which frees up my hands to give her a back massage while inside her. Instead of thrusting… gyration of the hips etc. allows him to move around inside her a stimulate in different ways. I know everyone is different, but my gf seems to really enjoy the platitude of stimulation across various areas of her body simultaneously.
