Ive listened to this ep prob 6 times on loop and its one of my favorite eps so far.. Can really relate im clean from heroin and meth 6 years now. And It is hard man i havent had a drink in about a year or so. I finally got my mental health in check and the right meds. Michigan up here is awful for helping any addicts or alcoholics its all about locking them up in jail taking their meds away and not helping them. For my suboxone if i had to take a dif kind id have to drive 4 hours to get it. I still have to drive without a license a hour one way. None of the big pharmacies carry our meds either walmart walgreens etc. Here. Its fucking insane and it needs to improve. I have a buddy in jail right now that took a ton of meds and hes a veteran marine nd they took all his meds and threw him in jail like thats nothing. Its so hard to come off sub let alone come off in a holding cell alone. I just think this shit needs to change honestly. I love this guy hes awesome and hope he really does something with the platform he has he could help people that are hurting like this. Thanks Chrissy for this ep. Loved it. 💛 cant wait for titis ep Friday on the patreon.

I’m going through a really hard time right now, and have been for quite a while and I haven’t given up bc I have two boys but they are the only reason. I have come to the realization that I am not really living. I’m surviving and helping my kids live. It’s crazy, but I needed this podcast today lol to hear that things can be way worse, and they are about to be for me but I can and will get through. People do it all the time. We adapt, we change and we can grow. I just need to recalibrate my mindset again. It’s gotten lost a bit. Sorry for the rant, lol sometimes ya just need to put it out into the world to set it into motion. Love ya Chrissy, pimpy, and Ian. Wow… I can relate to Ian on being an administrative assistant and drinking on the way to work, being drunk, drinking on my lunch break everyday, being pulled over with a Gatorade full of wine in the backseat… but then doing well in my job and interviews and then having to be serious at work… got pretty lucky a few times. Would still be drinking everyday but thank God I’m pregnant and can’t anymore.

Damn! My mom was an alcoholic my whole life. Kept it under wraps good enough until I knew what was up. Stanley style cup at the pool, I expected ice water and got vodka 😂 anyway, things got bad enough she started drinking at her job, a teacher. She even got a second chance. I sometimes think my mom drank when she had me but I doubt that. Anyway, after you have the kid try to hold back a bit. Alcohol completely erased my ability to have a full loving relationship with my mom and the issues still reverberate through my life.

Hopefully she stops or only does it on the weekend at least. :( Update, my daughter is a year and a half and I drink one or two glasses on weekends, after my daughter has gone to bed! I have no desire for it anymore. I can't even remember the last time I drank a bottle or was blackout drunk! I've been so happy I have no desire for it. I must have been pretty depressed back then.
