Very good tuts... This format needs WAY more attention! Only down side I can think of vs Kontakt is lack of scripting. What about a paid version of sforzando for like $50 w/ some Python bindings?

We have a C++ sdk to create more complex processing around it, but yeah, not the same.

Hi Most of the ARIA specific opcodes are listed on aria engine dot com However, the built in waveforms are not, however you only miss *silence ... which ... does what it says. Its usefull for voice stealing tricks...

Can you load more than 1 sfz file at a time? For example, percussion files with specific key ranges.

Afraid not, you would need to merge them or use a master sfz and use the C-like #include directive. Have a look at some of the free ARIA/sforzando banks for examples

i use Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 for this as a workaround = i can set up multiple channel instances if SFZ in VEPro6 feeding 1 channel in Studio One - looking into the SFZ Mapper and Designer as well. Thanks for the reply.

This video is nearly 10 years old. SFZ needs better tuts.

For some reason Aria is not recognizing the text I typed in. I used you exact text: sample=*sine and nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? I get the error : No sound asset loaded #1 Unknown opcode

Did you save your file as a word/ RTF? It needs to be plain text. Cheers

I saved it as a .sfz file. The previous example with the accompanying sample file worked but the .sfz to just generate a sine wave never worked.

Hi could you send us the file itself for analysis?

Is there any documentation that lists the different built-in waveform types? In this example, you used *sine, and I found that *square, *triangle, *saw, and *noise also work. But is there a list somewhere?
