Thanks for the tip.... I've opened it up and found out that the chipmunk bites the tube. Fixed the tube and all working now... ;-)

Good to hear. I had squirrels chew up spark plug wires, ABS speed sensor wires, evap tubing, and headlight assembly wiring all at one time on my truck once. I had a few choice words that day. They sure can cause a lot of problems for such small little creatures.

How about the rear window wiper fluid. I can hear the pump but nothing comes out the nozzle. Does the rear work off of the front resivor under the hood or does it have it's own resivor in the rear. Thank you

The rear washer uses the same reservoir as the front, but a different motor. Both motors are mounted in the reservoir tank. If you hear the motor working, you probably either have a blockage or break somewhere in the fluid hose or a clogged rear nozzle. Try removing the nozzle on the rear and hitting the button. If washer fluid comes out, your nozzle is clogged. If not, try removing the hose from the pump at the reservoir and blowing air through it.

@@TatteredSailsPics Thank you for your reply. The rear nozzle was clogged. I drained the resivor tank and ran hot water through the hoses to break up the dirt or debris. It took about 20 minutes to flush out the dirt and soak the nozzle. All is good now. Thank you again for your help

Nice tip. Now all I have to do is go out and buy an air gun.

The nozzle is clear. Nothing comes out of the passenger side hose. Replace hose? How. 2017 Crv.

If you have fluid coming out of the driver's side nozzle, you're either going to have a blockage in the passenger hose or a blockage or break in the plastic t-junction where the hoses split to driver/passenger sides. Best bet is to work your way backwards until you find the problem. Pull the hose out of the t-junction and see if you get flow. If so, you know you need to replace the hose. If not, keep working your way back. The only other reason this might be happening is if the pump is starting to fail or has debris built up around it. If the driver's side nozzle seems weaker than usual, you might not be getting the proper flow from the pump. Definitely check that t-junction though. We've had many cars come in where the plastic has cracked or broken off in the hose. Be gentle pulling the hose out, the plastic is rather brittle. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

The nozzles on my cr-v have a non return mechanism in them so this would not work, and not everyone has an air compressor hanging around anyway

The process to clean the nozzles out should still be the same. Check to make sure the pump is working if you clean them and still have problems. If your pump works and your nozzles are clean, there is either a blockage in the hose or in the washer fluid bottle itself. You can take the hose off at both ends (cap the nipple on the pump end to keep from draining your washer fluid out) and run warm water or air through it to remove the blockage. If the blockage is in the reservoir bottle, you might have to remove it and rinse it out a few times in a sink.

Good advice on this video. Are you sure that the windshield washers we're working, when the lady had her accident? Maybe that is the cause of the accident. She couldn't see out of her windshield, so she tried to turn on the windshield wipers, and they wouldn't work, and she hit a 5'7" blonded mechanic. Oops she should have hit the blonde mechanic, for not fixing her windshield wipers properly. 😄
