2:44 actually in story mode you don't have to bow (not that I'm sure if that's even a feature in the game) but you do have to fight with respect to your opponent. That is, not attacking them while they have their beginning dialogue, not slashing their back (attacking the back is seen as shameful) and not slashing the dead body for obvious reasons. Funny thing about the dialogue though is that you can cheese it by attacking the opponent since free reign is given to attack once you hear them "click" with the weapon. Slashing the dead body sometimes also can be bypassed, but I have no idea how. Also on the note of story mode, I kind of wish you guys did 2P from there because you have an entire map to roam around instead of one limited area.

It does, and if you don't do specific things, you'll get the bad ending. But it's like absolute small details, and you have you look to find these things.
