For the record, none of us are using tilt controls. I know that's more of an obvious joke for Mario Kart 8, but did you guys ever use the wheel peripheral that came with Mario Kart Wii?

Oddly enough, I used the Wii Wheel since Day 1 and never stopped, I was so accustomed to it that when my friend made me try the Gamecube controls, it felt jarring. Had the Gold Wheel on my profile and everything.

The Wii Wheel was legit OP, a bunch of the world records are with it because I guess to compensate for odd controls, it augments your turning and traction so you can play faster characters with worse turning and kick ass.

I always used the wheel peripheral when playing MKWii, It just felt oddly comfy. Nowadays I just use the Gamepad for playing Mario Kart 8.

The Wii Wheel was actually my preferred choice for Mario Kart Wii. It felt really natural for some reason, especially when the layouts were changed for the Gamecube Controller. When Mario Kart 8 came out, I thought I'd be fine with the Wii Wheel again, but it didn't go well at all, so I used the Gamepad and never looked back.

If I remember right Mario Kart super Circuit on the GBA was the first game to actually introduced the Retro courses idea because if you get a star on the cups in that game you get the extra cups and those have every single SNES track. So essentially you get two games for the price of 1 GBA cartridge.

I remember when I first played the game I never liked using the sharp turning bike but after getting used to it, I found it very good for making those quick turns when you get a speed boost from mushroom or ramps

I actually used the wheel peripheral that came with the game. The buttons were so much more convenient and the control turning is a bit more accurate, but I never went off the track because I was using the wheel peripheral.

Honestly, I never used the wheel whenever I played this game. I either used just the Wiimote or the GameCube controller. And that was quite the upset there at the end. Blue team rules!

Answering the description, i do use the Wheel, but i do also use the GCN controller and Classic Controller. Funny enough, i think the Wheel has more flexibility in driving compared to the other controllers, but unfortunately, the Wheel didn't transfer well in 8 imo, so i just use the Classic or Pro. Another reason why i think Wii is better than 8

I always used the gamecube controller as I was the most comfortable with it. Same for Mario Kart 8 if I'm not in possession of the gamepad. Only my brother used the Wii wheel for Mario Kart Wii.
