I love your ideas & how you transform amazing, but sometimes second hand items into beautiful, custom made pieces of furniture. I really appreciate these videos as opposed to some of the other girls who spend thousands of dollars to buy a ton of stuff to transform a room in a day. I am really so inspired by you! Sometimes I forget that just because I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on furniture, that doesn't mean I can't make fabulous & creative changes to rooms in my house.Thank you:)

I have always loved the color pink. I bought a pair of baby pink suede ballet shoes today that I just love. I do love the shabby chic look but I tend to decorate more with French toile prints in cool blues and greens....it's like a breath of fresh air for me to be in a room with those colors. You are talented and I'll bet the jewelry that you design is lovely as well.

@1130pinklady Thanks!! It's actually just a plain comforter we purchased at Macy's but the duvet cover is what makes it fancy, which I purchased at Target online. It's the Pale Pink Smocked Duvet from the Simply Shabby Chic line. Last I saw it was still available in both white and pink. :)

@rabiyal I totally understand, lol. I know I've been slacking on the makeup videos. I tend to just roll with whatever I'm doing for the day. But I have my list of must-do beauty videos and I promise to do the MAC starter kit this week! I haven't actually tried any special hair removal products, I just use my trusty razors. :)

@passionknitgirl That's it! Habitat for Humanity, The Restore. I love that place! I know at first glance it can appear to be just a mix of unexciting odds and ends but if you check often they get some very cool pieces, so that's great you found a headboard! Happy decorating!

@ningram4 Nooo! You want the dark peeking through in a shabby chic look. If it was white on pale pink it wouldn't be visible enough. But decorating is an art form and outlet for self expression so it's completely up to each individual. So I say whatever look makes you happy, go for it! :)

Haha they probably would if you were leaning against the back but I really don't use it as a chair, it's more for additional storage/organizing and if you need to sit down to put on your shoes, etc.. :)

Love this and I love how your room is coming all together. Can you show us what you've done to the bathroom or another little area of the house? I know you said the only part of your place that is pink and girly is your bedroom. It'd be cool to see what route you took in another area. You're so crafty. Thank you! I think I bought it at Ross or Pier 1 Imports for around $5, it's a large metal picture stand, I was going between that and a cookbook holder, either one works great! :)

I've never been a fan of the shabby chic look, my style leans more modern, but it turned out really pretty!! You have some great tips and tricks, especially the earrings for the hooks! Love the mirror thingy... we don't have a mud room. But then again how many homes on Maui do?! But I def. need something like it... this mirror thing would be PERFECT. I purchase almost all of my furniture/mirrors, etc.. used, at Habitat For Humanity's "The Restore" I also shop at Ross a lot, such great deals there. You never know what kind of treasures you might find at either store, the selection changes daily. You could check online to see if they have "The Restore" in your area.

To make the mirror clean up easier, rub the mirror with vaseline before you paint. Careful not to get Vaseline on the frame! When everything is dry, just wipe it away. Easy peasy! Great ideas in this video :)
