Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 - All Dr. Eggman cutscenes

It's finally here! The cutscenes for my second favorite game and also one of the pieces of media to thank for how I fell in love with Eggman. There's no definitive order for these with some canon and some not, so I just did what felt right lol. This includes the alternate versions of scenes too, none are exactly the same in terms of dialogue and voice clip recordings.
Eggman might not have had the plot significance he really deserved but he has some great even moments in the cutscenes and tons of great in game dialogue for his missions too. He's very charming and funny at times and serious and threatening the next, all important and loved aspects of his character.
It's really sad that the Shadow android concept was wasted because it was a really cool concept with awesome potential. In the Devil Doom fight Eggman was all like "I rescued you 🥺" and people are like aww so sweet lol but he was actually such a terrible bastard with a fucked up scheme all the way through.
He had a robot retrieve Shadow after SA2 and kept it a secret while he studied him and used him to successfully create tons of android clones of the Ultimate Lifeform which is really impressive, he came up with those epic versions in multiplayer mode in ShtH 2005 with cool colors and guns for arms, and tried to gaslight Shadow into thinking he had no past, pretend he was just another android clone, and use him as a tool to help him fight of the Black Arms and GUN and collect emeralds for his "master." Which is so deeply selfish when the world is in danger.
Not only did he act entitled and claim ownership to Shadow due to him being his grandfather's creation but he had to go ahead and gaslight and manipulate him into thinking he created him. To convince him he isn't a being with free will and any purpose other than blindly carrying out his orders without question, even when he deals with confusion and distress about glimpses of his dark memories. Eggman just tells him none of it is real. It's so much more fucked up than people seem to realize and it's great.
And the bastard wasn't even sorry, he didn't really feel guilty and he never apologized to Shadow. In the Expert Mode dialogue after his confession, he just shrugged off the way Shadow seemed 'upset' with him after finding out what he did. Because fucked up manipulation is nothing new to him and he doesn't feel an ounce of guilt.
The concept was surely supposed to be something bigger, considering the Shadow androids were eerily shown a whole game before Shadow 2005. I really wish they hadn't shoved Eggman, the androids, and his manipulation aside for more focus on GUN and the Black Arms alone, as he's just as important to his story as the grandson of his creator. They ended making it such a small underused concept like it was nothing important and just had him suddenly turned against and killed in three different endings.
But I do love all the great moments that we did get to see in this game that has both a great story and gameplay overall and is always a blast to come back to.

@@SpiffyMario55 assume they probably thought that a more cartoony Eggman would clash with the super realistic humans in the game like Elise so they changed him up a bit. I’d think the solution to this dilemma was more obvious though. Maybe instead of drastically redesigning one of the most iconic characters in all of video games to fit your new style, you should adjust your new style to fit your characters?

@@samuelmchargue6160 They're the alternate version scenes of the same bosses that you encounter depending on the paths you choose to take in the game, the bosses are at the end of multiple. But some lines in the scenes for them are different and all rerecorded so they're in this video too

Eggman telling Shadow he has no past isn't just some trick. Like who wants to remember they're only real friend was murdered, and to hear that from the only known member of their family no less

Uhhh... it literally is. He's just trying to gaslight and manipulate Shadow so he'll work for him and do what he wants, which is why all his missions in the game are just him asking Shadow to do his dirty work in ways that don't benefit anyone else. He also makes this very clear in the scenes where he acts like he's owed it and the chaos emeralds for being his creator. He also had a low empathy reaction to the whole Maria and Gerald tragedy, so he wouldn't care to keep that information for Shadow for any other reason.
