Wow, you guys are *really* leaning into the (body) horror, this time. It's Castle Drakken everywhere, now... this poor world... I don't know if 2 seasons will be enough to fix such a problem. This sounds like a lifetime of fixing this place. If you homebrewed this, I'm deeply impressed. Such a deep, engaging world. Also, poor Wilhelm can't catch a break. First it's becoming afraid and restrained by banshees... then it's the lack of dark vision and his friends pestering him about it... and then it's getting poisoned by the abomination baby (what monster did you reskin for this, by the way?) before proceeding to fail to hit it 80% of the time. Poor Kelly... at least he gets the kill.

13:55 Sheriff Rudi's bringing the wee woo in the soundtrack. Turkeys are now joining the game alongside ducks, too - as per Rudi's note while shooting the light creature! Now we just need chickens, and we can have a giant Turducken as a mid-boss later in the act! The light-squids remind me heavily of Thea: the Shattering (and maybe whatever might have inspired it, and maybe you). There were the "lightbeasts" there, creatures of elemental light taking control of people and beasts, whose natural form was exactly as Monty described the creature. Their final form was a giant dragon corpse animated by myriads of lightbeasts... A good boss for late stages of this campaign, perhaps! So the town crazy was right - there WAS a bonfire of octarine colour involved! It just wasn't where he could've seen it, but still. Honestly, you keep on proving just how much you CAN play a horror-y campaign in D&D 5E. It's all in the presentation and the DMing. The whole Horus (or whatever the spelling may be) story is a special kind of disgusting and disturbing, it's almost Silent Hill horror style too - perfectly done. On top of that, great Formless Flesh vibes of Darkest Dungeon. I wonder what the original intent was for the players to proceed with, with this encounter - were they intended to fight the ogre boi first or the "child", or if there was a way for them to defuse the situation. Either way, I'm almost kinda hoping they'll manage to subdue Horus without killing him outright. He'll probably have to lose his infested leg or at least the foot, but it could be awesome if he could be depowered and sent for study and some sort of help. Of course, that's a bonus thing and hardly required, given he's already a monster, but still. P.S. Bruce is best sightcat.

I love Rudi saying: when you showed up in my barn. This implies that Wilhelm was fully moved in to the barn before she noticed. So creative liberty I imagine the moment Rudi did going something like this: Rudi walked into her barn to milk the cows and there is Wilhelm in a totally out of place brass tub that is all fancy and stuff. " Hello old friend" as Wilhelm scrubs his naked back " thought I would make myself at home". I challenge anyone to tell me this didn't happen!!!

Like the way this one is headed and the characters are fun. Two familiars granting advantage via help action at that frequency is going to make it difficult to challenge without spending economy to negate the familiars, or through the DMs time in clever prep. Both options still give an advantage to players, if not Advantage.

Had a thought whilst watching this. Each player has made characters that are...efficient (not using the word optimised as it has connetations). Rudy has familiar giving advantage every turn, Wilhelm has Crossbow Expert for more attacks, Wrath is Scourge Aasimar for top stats. With this in mind, the characters can then grow and change as the story develops, allowing them the chance to make more...inefficient decisions on spells and upgrades, depending on the story. They already have that strong base to begin with, so don't feel like they are harming their characters by following the story

I always remember the stalagmite/stalactite with the M and the T. The T looks like it is anchored to the roof, while the M pokes up from the ground (also to do with how you write them). Although, lets be fair, does the different matter? It's like effect and affect or uninterested or disinterested ... stalagmite/stalactite, aka the spiky bits in a cave hahaha! Man, I can't get past them not being a kitty who can use a bow like Apollo, a sorcerer and a fighter.

Hey all, love the new campaign! Just a note (and not trying to be rude AT ALL) but the intro needs to have the music brought down so that you can hear what the narrator is saying. At times the music blares up and you can't hear anything they are saying. Other than that keep doing what you all do. Love the campaign and can't wait to see what's next.
