I fell in love with Veo, Sebastian, and Pluto, and was sad to see them go. When you guys started your new set with season 2, in some ways it felt like nothing changed (Kelly even dropped the voice he used to give Wilhelm), but eventually they really did grow into their own. "They haven't played these characters in 2 years. You wouldn't know." - Monty You really, really wouldn't. They slotted back into their old dynamics so cleanly, I love it. I really missed them. Thank you, truly, Kelly, Jill, and Joe for bringing this series to life (and an extra special thanks to Monty the DM). It really brightened my day listening to this.

The Drakkenforce is back! Hells, they were the ones that drew me into the world of Drakkenheim. Seeing them back kicking nuts and taking names is really a treat. As someone marathoning this series, Season 1 is still fresh in my mind. It looked like they played their characters like wearing a well-fitted glove. However, the experience of seeing them play Drakkenforce again after so long must have been quite cool.

Inflict Wounds is from the Shadow Touched Feat - you get invisibility and inflict wounds 1/per day innate magic, thats why he got it on the list, not due to the extended spell list I'm fairly sure- it is a cleric spell usually I believe. Took Shadow Touched on my Tortle Druid who was sucked into Barovia by the mists in a CoS campaign, great flavour and a invisible 6ft tall Tortle that can grab you by the face out of nowhere and wither you into a husk with Inflict wounds, fantastic, is just too much fun, very dark. Great to see the narrative lens returning to the city, I want to know what lays in the misty crater, awesome! Well played all!

Great episode! Drakkenforce have been missed. It's amazing how the feel of the show changes as we return to Drakkenheim, both parties have a distinct feel to them. Still missing your old sound equipment though, the new stuff is really sensitive and loose a lot of quality fast.

@@thatindiandude4602 Same here. Dungeons of Drakkenheim was the first d&d show that I ever watched and now I can't find anything that I can enjoy quite as much. I have tried, obviously, Critical Role, but they far too many once you are used to the focus that the story has with only 4 people. And that's why I play only with groups of 4-5 people (dm included).

I like the neutralizing field, though im curious, have the academy not thought of simply using lead suits? We know lead is a magic blocker so a suit lined internally with lead and a lead glass pane to see out of a hood would theoretically work no? It'd be super heavy and probably take the place of armor as a trade off for being nonmegical protection

I was re-watching all of season 1 while I waited for more episodes of season 2, and out of curiosity I checked out Sebastian's character sheet and saw that Kelly added Draconic Transformation from Fizban's Treasury of dragons, so I knew something was up. Love your content, slowly catching up :) I wonder, with the last ranking with poll set of videos coming to a close, if you would do a poll (just cuz I know there must be others in the community that would have their thoughts on it too) or just a possible video topic where Monty and Kelly each do their own choices, where a homebrew list of spells for each sorcerer subclass is made. I had fun listening to your list and comparing it to my own list of 'Shadow Spells' ;) Fun that a bunch were the same, but then some very big differences.

Question... Ignatius was being used earlier for heat, later, it is reminded it was altered by Lucretia Mathias to generate radiance, instead of flames. Does it produce both effects, now?

Ten extra spells for a sorcerer pretty much gives them the same number of spells known that a wizard can prepare. What then do sorcerers give up to gain their class advantages from a balance stand point?

They never went through the portal. They talked about it, but season one ended with them talking to River and discussing needing to hurler outside help for what’s coming. Which led us to Shadows of Drakkenheim.
